Bob, the fellow that had the wheels on craigslist for a hundred isnt in the Mopar scene anymore. He would have taken less because he thought they were for a worthless C body. He is a friend of a friend who told me about the ad.

You are right. We are talking about two different people. The one that is selling the road wheels that I posted is the guy with the tan Newport with the Charger wheels mounted on his Newport.

I think 220 is a bit much especially without rings. BUT they are getting harder to find. I think $175. is a good price for both ends of the transaction.

might be going to baltimore this weekend if detmatt or someone else doesn't swipe first.

Don't worry about me, those wouldn't even bolt up on my Imperial. I was just asking a question so that Stan could stop saying Mississippi.

I agree, since he doesn't have any of the trim rings. It was dark when I seen 2 of the wheels in his trunk and the black repaint looked like were spray canned. The 2 center hubs looked like they were brand new and looked perfect, he said the other 2 center hubs weren't as nice, whatever that means.

As I understand it in the later 70's the wheels became 15x7's, dont know if that is true. Then you have the center domes that are different. The trim rings are the same for all years and are only correct on C bodies.

I had ralleye wheels on my SuperBee

and ralleye wheels on my 1973 Challenger

The trim rings were all the same and looked exactly like the trim rings on C-body road wheels. They are all the same aren;t they?

Murray Park?

Yes, It was Murray Park. I have never delt with the guy but everyone says he is a fair person.
I just thought his prices a bit high on some things. I'm not sure how much he is willing to negotiate. I would love to have a nice pair of door handles but $150.00 for a used pair...? I suppose I should be happy that they are avaliable.

Here are the prices quoted for the parts I requested.....Tough to put a C body together at these prices.
Hello, I have the following for your 300:

Nice exterior door handles, $75.00 ea
Antenna lead only, $35.00, or antenna assy, $85.00
Chrome road wheels, $75.00 ea, Trim rings $50.00 ea, nice center cap $75.00
Power door lock switches $50.00ea, Lock pivots $25.00 ea, lock solenoids $40.00 ea

Thats why you need a parts car, yet you seem to have gone that route already.
Murray is the only C body game in town. I am surprised he has the wheels. I asked for him to reach out to me once he put together a nice early set. That has been six years past now, still nothing.

I needed a set of 71 fury bucket seats he sent me 73's. He gave me my money back but I am out the shipping costs........

Again, he is the only C body guy in town.

69 door handles

Murray Park does seem to have the stuff. I'll likely pick up a few things from him. I've had great luck with Martin at Arizona parts also.

Yes.... The parts car I have yielded a bunch of good usable parts for my 69 including three complete road wheels,(minus one center dome cap). The door handles just were not very good.

I located two more road wheels last weekend with one complete center but without trim rings.

The door handles on the 69 fit only the Chrysler in 69... (not sure about 70-71, I don't have a parts book for them). They have a cast in detail/knotch in the edge that is not in the handle I took off the 73 Imperial. Also will not fit Plymouth and Dodge.
The top handle in the pic is a 69 and the lower handle if off a 73 Imperial.

Will, I bought a set of four rings at Carlisle I paid $100.00 for the four. You can have one for $25.00 and you pick up the freight.

You have the later caps and are a bit easier to find. I'll read the pm when I get home......

why won't they?

Yep, Polara71 is correct, the Imperials, at least in `67/8 and I'm sure other years but not 100%, had a 5" pattern similar to that of GM. Some of the tilt telescope steering column parts were also shared with GM and Lincoln.
