Put the Fury up on Craigs List...

When it comes to Harleys, there is only one bike to have - The Electra Glide (any variation: Classic, Ultra, etc.). It is the best handling and the most comfortable. It also has the highest resale of almost any motorcycle out there.

The only way i'll ever get back on a Harley is if the right "panhead" came along. And the last one of those was built in 1961.
This was my 57 Pan back in 1971.

John I was about to get on a plane and come kick your a$$ man! When I saw the title of the thread I almost picked up the phone to call you and chew you a new one! LOL.

I'm over here cracking up man! That was funny. Buying the house killed my savings. I'm getting nervous about money.

Absolutely LOVE(!) that pic! Thanks for posting that. Very, very, neat.
In 1970, I bought a Sportster in what was to become the first in a long line of Harleys.

How long is that freaking exhaust?

If you look close, over my head in the pic, you'll spot the top of the "sissy bar". It had a step seat and it was great having a chick wrapped all around me riding it. That was the style then. Indian girder springer extended 16", racked 3/4", 21 " front wheel w/no front brake, a jocky shifter and foot clutch. Also notice...... No starter. It was a manly bike and I had the scars on my shins to prove it.

I'll post a pic of the Harley trike I had before this in the general section. I've hijacked this thread enough already

Don't get me wrong guys, I really like my Fury, but in all honesty, I'd rather have a 340 Dart. By far they are my favorite MOPAR next to a 71 RT BB Challenger. The 70 Dart or 71 is the best and also the 72s Too. I had 4 Darts and loved them all.

I thought you were a diehard c body guy.....

I am,.. and like the Fury! But I also like Darts a lot. If I was a well to do person, Id have both or more!!

polara71,.too small and a rattle trap with bad handling!!? Nah man,.they are cool cars and they handle really well in my opinion. I guess I like to feel the power. My Fury is a fast car, but it rides so nice I can't feel the power. Kind of hard to explain I guess.

"M" Code Darts is my Archiles Heel.

Stan, holy ****!! One of my favorites, but the price tag for one is nuts. That's why I like the low 70s darts, because I can afford one. I think if I'm not mistaken the 426 Darts had no warranty and were sold as race only with lexan or plexiglass side manual windows that I think you needed to pull up or down. Something like that If I remember right. Those 426 Darts popped wheelies right off the showroom floor!!

Will has posted it right.
M-codes were A12 cars on the B-bodys and 440-4 cars on the A-Bodys in 69.

Even though I like Dart GTS in 68/69 I would never swap any full size car against a compact car (A-Body).
