Yes, It was Murray Park. I have never delt with the guy but everyone says he is a fair person.
I just thought his prices a bit high on some things. I'm not sure how much he is willing to negotiate. I would love to have a nice pair of door handles but $150.00 for a used pair...? I suppose I should be happy that they are avaliable.

I have bought a few things from Murray, in fact I just ordered a panel dimmer rotary switch from him last week and he brought me some parts I had prepaid for to the nats this year. Really nice guy and so far no bad experiences with the parts themselves. I would call the prices fair for really good quality parts. (So far)

I use Murray off and on. Yep, good guy but you have to stick a firecracker up his butt several times to get him to move.
Not the world's greatest and motivated communicator.
FWIW, he buys parts from my Mopar bud down here off of ebay. We don't know if it's to fulfill an order or to put into his inventory. So always look at ebay first.

OH! And he doesn't negotiate. I've tried.

To the best of my knowledge nothing is correct for 69, they weren't available until the 1970 models.

Gasp....!

:eek:ops:..... I'll be darned.... I did not know that.
Might explane why so few 69's are seen with them.
No matter...... I'm using them on my 69. Love the look.

are you guys sure abt that? my '69 300 had them, it was bought from the orig owner who was in his 80's. I would have sworn they were factory.

too bad I lost my broadcast sheet pic when the comp crashed.

Has anyone ever seen any '69 chryslers with those slotted wheels that are shown in the brochures?

I want a set of those other wheels i saw - at least i think they are wheels and not hub caps.

EDIT: just found the info ,they are the orig W23 wheel, specialty wheel reproduces them, calls them 'Warrior wheels'

seems that the orig were recalled

I know the wheels your refering to. They were aluminum wheels that were recalled and discontinued early in production. Some were found be cracked in the lug nut hole area. It's thought that loose lug nuts were the primary cause but Chrysler wasen't taking any chances. Some originals have survived and are still fine. They are a good looking wheel. I don't believe they were avaliable on C bodys.

Here is a scan of a bulletin pertaining to the flat rate paid to exchange the wheels on vehicles effected by the recall.

The repros on Specialty Wheel's site seem to be painted a black or charcoal shade. The ones on the '69 pictured seem to be more of a silver or gray.

Will, I bought a set of four rings at Carlisle I paid $100.00 for the four. You can have one for $25.00 and you pick up the freight.

Now I gotta find a box

I finally got around to removing the two wheels from my parts car and found one of the three trim rings I have has a dent. If you can part with two of yours I'll be happy to give you $60.00 and postage.......
