14" Whitewalls

Scott, do you know whether they are as tall as the originals? I forgot - what do you have on your 300 now?

Steve

I purchased four tires for the Toronado last year from Hankook, smaller w/w for $75 a tire. Over this Winter ther is a dealer in Phoenix that offers one inch and wider tires for $105 a tire but they will not ship. I have found them on Phoenix craigs advertising. If you want wider than 1.5" they can grind on site, install etc. These both were the P235 75R15 size.

There are many brands that sell the 15" whitewall tires in your size, but none offer the 14" until now..................................

That is crazy money for a "regular" tire. I could almost buy a virgin 11.00R 24.5 trailer tire for that money.

there are excellent whitewall tires available in 14":

While I know you, Carsten, are an originality guy, I too prefer the radials to drive on - the ride and handling are so superior to me. But the bias ply 800-14 Goodyear tires in your link are almost an inch greater in diameter than the radial 235 75 14 tires sold now by Coker, which from an appearance standpoint, would be much more desirable to me.

That's why I bought blackwalls in 14", I prefer the 1" whitewall for my car but didn't want to spend that kind of money. I bought some vintage 14" Cal custom wire wheel hubcaps to help the look of the blackwalls. I only put on one so far and it looks pretty nice from a distance.lol
