Update Park rod stuck!
Well it would seem I've gotten myself into a pickle, I adjusted the bands and replaced the valve body and tried to shift it and it's stuck to shifting into 2 gears only. It shifts fine with the body out and dangling but remember I never disconnected the park rod from the valve body.

It would seem the other end of the park rod in the tail shaft is not where it should be? Any ideas?

Here is a old valve body and trans I have the rod just has that ball looking thing on the end. It goes through the hole to the side of L/R band and you have to push it through the spring loaded catch in there it pulls out easier than it goes in because of the shape of the end of the rod, you might also have to wiggle and or center it to get it to go through. There is sort of a concave leading to the hole the rod has to go through.

Thanks again Pal, you're the best. I never really tried to remove it, I left it attached to the valve body and I think it came out of it's place and is caught up some how.
So I'm going to try to pull it all the way out and then back in again (sounds dirty).

If you have a borescope stick it up there and look. You cant really see anything anyhow so try that first, and if you dont have a borescope, try asking a freind see if they have one.

Well I was able to get the parking rod out after removing it from the valve body. It took a large screwdriver to help the rod out and then it went back in easy and was easy to hook to the valve body with the circlip.

I put it all back together and voila! it's working and shifting fine. Time and miles will tell but I think the band was mal-adjusted too loose (as 70bigblockdodge said) and the servo over extended itself and stuck because it traveled too far. It does seem to shift a little tighter (which I like) but as I said time will tell.

Thanks to all of you for your help, I couldn't of done it without ALL of your input!:)

Also wanted to point out that I adjusted the bands as 70bigblockdodge suggested with someone rotating the rear wheel thus the transmission and snugged the band and backed off one full turn.
