The BEST 1967 Newport Custom Sedan on the planet!!!!

I searched the for sale threads for '67 Newps and found this one. It was so entertaining to read through it all and some of the links to other sites this guy uses.

It is a beautiful looking car, but it's at most a $5000 car. And that's if you can find the right *** for the seat. I love four door cars, but they just aren't worth much overall.

After reading his posts, I felt like George Bailey after he shook Mr. Potter's hand.

The whole thing with the seal replacements and wrong color engine paint are quintessential dealer/flipper moves.

No under carriage pics either. If it was that clean and untouched, those pics should have been included.

If I had known about this one and lived a little closer, I would have gone to see it and had a lot of fun with him.

Thanks for the entertainment.

John

True story.

Your welcome, that old fool did provide a lot of entertainment.

Glad you found it amusing.....

Gents: That '67 Chrysler has been sold years ago. The fellow who bought it has shown it quite a bit and won with it. I'm glad you found my ad "amusing", If any of you had spent the money and time I did on a car like that, you'd understand the ad. It seems to me you have more time on your hands to write this nonsense two years or more after the car was sold. Lastly the car was spectacular, and the new owner has other big bodied Chryslers as well, and he knows his cars I would guess better than any of you.=m especially big bodied Chryslers as he is an avid collector of them. Glad it was entertaining. And for the record I'm 76, been selling high quality cars for 52 years. Your remarks were a bit uncalled for, but if it amused you, I'm all for people being happy and laughing a lot, as there are so many things happening now that saddens some. Look for the car around the NYC area cars shows this summer, I think you'll like it a lotGerry Acquilano

Glad to see your still fogging the mirror. Go get another regular car and write up a add with all the used car salesman over the top buzz words in it. We need some humor this summer.

If the new owner really knew his big bodied Chryslers, he'd be a member here.

He's not hard to find. Know matter what make or model he has for sale, or what forum he joins. Miatasportscar is his handle...

Is your name Gerry or Larry? As in Last Word Larry the Lurker.

I was wondering if my comments would lure you out of the shadows. Thanks for that, you are still fun to play with.

Your last post was 18 months ago. If my input was nonsense, why did you waste your time responding?

Our comments obviously touch a nerve with you. Your attempt to mask your condescending arrogance with b*llsh*t light hearted optimistic banter doesn't really work for you.

Would you like to introduce the buyer to the forum? Perhaps he can educate us all on what we don't know about these cars.

Cars are only worth what someone will pay for them. Looks like you found the right *** for your seat.

Thanks again for the continuing entertainment.

Looks like it's back:

1967 Chrysler Newport Custom

I've been watching this ad get reposted for months but didn't make the connection until I read this thread.

It's been posted several times before with pics. Looks like the same car, location makes sense as well.

Gerry? Are you out there? Care to comment?

I'm almost positive that's the car. I like how they leave out true survivor. Only one like it on the planet. Leave those key words for the #snakeoilsalesman and #usedcarsalesman

This is the funniest thing I have ever seen.
Miataboi came out of the womb pimping overpriced stuff.
On his death bed he'll be pimping some overpriced crap to the priest.
Pathetic human being.

That's where miataboi lives.

The car is now for sale in the Hudson Valley, just north of New York City.

The Miata guy had the car for sale in Geneva, kinda between Syracuse and Rochester. Five hours or so away from the Hudson Valley.

The new owner must have decided he doesn't want it anymore.

The Miata guy is gone, but his unethical sales technique and overall dishonesty survives him, as the post has long legs.

It reminds me of a visit to the German Cemetery at Normandy, France. 10,000 plus men. I was there, and only one other person was there, and coincidently another guy from Nebraska. No Germans Mourning, Nobody else, empty, just a huge parking lot, empty. I told my wife, that the only thing worse then being dead, is being a German soldier buried in a country that hated you when you were alive, and despised you when you were dead. You were long gone, but people still hated you, and talked about you. And you are stuck there, But It is just too inconvenient to move you out.

That's a great article on our good friend miatasportscar.
