1975 Monaco cop car Bluesmobile

Oh come on, lets relive the old days.
Do the car up like it was still in service.

I'll bring out my old Kaw 500 that I bought new and see how quickly I can lose you, just like the old days.

Nice car !
Does it have all of the bitchy-to-find parts ? Certified 140 speedo , fleet-specific trim , etc. ?

Welcome. The Bluesmobile theme sounds like a good idea to me. You have the perfect car for it.
It sure is the perfect car for it. It's almost done already. Put the speaker on the roof and the star on the door and you're done LOL

D Dodge,
I out ran more than one Ohio State Patrol unit with my Kaw back when I was young (and somewhat) dumb.

Not doing the speaker...as much as I like the movie, that damn speaker looks like crap....:icon_rolleyes:

75 Monaco

Hey Ghostsoldier,
would you happen to know where I could find some front fenders for my 75 Monaco? (Standard, not Royal)
Need the upper header panel too, the lower bumper grille and bumper mounts.
Police car project but not a Bluesmobile.

Thanks
Cop Monaco

incorrect speedo

:icon_rolleyes: Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the 1974 Monaco equipped with a 140 MPH certified speedometer that had small 0's? I know that originality may not be an issue but I just wanted to see if that was a 74' specific piece or not.

You are correct, sir....the '75 and later have the bigger "0" behind the numbers...here's the movie car speedo...

Cop Monaco....I do have a friend named Huey who deals in these Monaco's and other big C-bodies; I bought my car from him. He may have some stuff in his collection...let me get his contact info, and I'll PM it to you.

Love that photo

:eusa_clap:That image never gets old does it? The Bluesmobile must get exceptional mileage. Just think that they filled up just before the show, evaded pursuit all night long and only used 1/8th of a tank of fuel. I wish my 73' could boast that kind of mileage.

Gumball Rally

:icon_rolleyes: There was a similar screen shot taken of a 71' Polara certified speedometer in the film The Gumball Rally. I don't suppose anyone out there has that do they? Please post it if you do as it would make a really cool screen saver.:eek:ccasion18:

Thanks, guys.

I must have a thing for movie cars, because when and if I ever get done with this Blumo, the next one I want to find/build is Steve McGarrett's 1968 Mercury Park Lane Brougham with the 429....

Welcome to the forum!

I had a girlfriend, years ago that had a '74 Monaco/Sheriff's Patrol car.
The car totally surprised me! Bone stock, 440, Thermoquad, automatic and when you put your foot into it, would chirp the tires when shifting into 2nd gear, every time!

That would be a fun one to have now.
