Hi,

next year there will be a "C-Body Fuselage only" Show in Bernkastel-Kues.

It will be held for the first time.
It is possible to arrive on friday.
There will be a cruise along the Mosel river on saturday.

I hope some of our members from germany/netherland/belgium/france/luxemburg might attend

I just talked with the organizer. The event is in a rural area so I doubt the turnout will be extremly high but I have hopes that it will be a nice show with a lot of fun

Not too far away from me, we'll see, that's about the time when my additional Garage building will be constructed.

I will be there, wothout my car, but a meet and greet is always nice.

I'm sure I can excite a friend of mine with a 70 Imperial to come, too.

We would have a hard time organizing a show like that on this side of the pond. Amazing that it can be done anywhere in Europe.

Ten years ago there was a movement on the Drydock to do a C body show, centralized in the States and Missouri was to be the location. The organizer had sponsors and a location but the attendance projection was looking extremely low.

Im anxious to see how this turns out

we never had a "Full Size Mopar" only event in europe that I know or heared off.
This event is just for Fuselage models.
The word "show" might be a little big.
As mentioned before the location is pretty rural and the organizer knows that not many cars are living near to the event.
There would have been areas which would have a higher output as more cars live in the same area.
So the turn out hasn't the biggest expectation.
The organizer (Georg) says he is happy if 20 cars will pop up.
My guess is it will be more than that if the weather is fine. Could be 40 cars IMHO

I'll be there. The location in the Moselle Valley is really beautiful with good local wines :icon_keel:
40 Fuselages would be great, Georg is a bit modest ;) Met him two weeks ago in Andernach (the real Hank Chinaski's place of birth btw). Here's a pic.

Would I be turned away if I pulled up in a '67 Crown Coupe??:poke:

The closest thing to a C body show in North America is Moparfest in Canada. By far the best C body attendance of any Mopar show I've been to. It was quite refreshing.

Fusie meeting! OMG what a heaven for me that would be...

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, but my spirit will be with you, guys.

I know I don't have to ask Carsten to take as many pics as possible, lol.

Thanks for the nice words and thanks for promoting it, Carsten! Meanwhile almost 20 cars are confirmed, coming from Germany (of course), Luxembourg, the Netherlands and France. Have a look at the Facebook site (also visible for non facebook members) Boats by the River - BBTR for now, and hopefully from end of February on also here: www.bbtr.de

Fuselage only........? Sounds a little snooty to me.

Bluefury361, it's not snooty at all, it's just Fuselage C-bodies are kind of underdogs and outsiders in Germany/Europe. Most people are interested in the common Mopars like Chargers, Challengers and Road Runners or - if at all - in 50s and 60s 4 door/full size cars. The Fuselage models are not that desirable for the majority of classic car fans. And I really love the design of the Fuselage models. I can't wait to see a dozen or more cruising along the river, leaving passersby behind with their mouths wide open...

Georg we talked about it before but Fuselage cars are really popular overhere. You are simply to "new" in the hobby and live in a rural area. If you would visit the bigger shows (Mopar Nats Herten or Mopar Meet Stade etc) you would notice that there are a lot of Fuselage C-bodies in Germany and that they are popular. Less than Charger&co of course but the interest is very high compared to the US. If you go to a big show like the Spring Fling in Van Nuys (LA area) you will see 650 Mopars and only 5 or 6 fuselages. The Florida Mopar Nats usually have 250 Mopars and only 2-3 Fuselage cars attending. Compared to that the german Mopar Nats have 350 cars and around 30 (!) of them are Fuselage cars. No big Mopar show in the US would have nearly 10% Fuselage C-bodies in attendance.

But aren't forward look and early C-bodies more popular over here in Germany/Europe compared to Fuselages? I just have that feeling, but maybe I am wrong.

Anyway, I love Fuselages and that's why the show is just for them. ;-)

Carsten is saying 10 percent of all cars are a Fuselage C. Carlisle doesn't touch that
