Hello all,

My name is Rick, I registered this morning and just wanted to say hello.

Last summer, I was looking for a Mopar, was leaning toward a mid to late 60's B Body and kept coming across this '68 Fury. Finally went to look at the car... Southern California car, one owner, garage kept, 383 and 95,000 original miles. I drove her home that day and shortly after, I named her "Abigail". Abigail has been a lot of fun and she gets more attention than I would have ever thought! She's not perfect but, that shall slowly change.

I look forward to good advise and hopefully sharing advise, when I may have an answer!

Rick

A couple pictures of Abigail.

Welcome to the site, great looking car, love the color!

:sSig_greetingsthor: Nice looking Fury, the best cars are one owner survivor C bodies.

Nice Fury... love the Furys1 I have a 65 wagon and 66 sean.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone :)

The blue Fury is my second '68 Fury III.

My first Fury (turquoise 2 door), I bought from my parents in 1975 and drove it for 14 yrs. I left the body and interior totally stock but, installed a '69 383 Magnum from a Charger (Crane, Torker, Carter, Accell, etc.), a '77 Torqueflite from a CHP car with the factory high stall converter, driveshaft from a '76 Monaco Sheriff's car (with the big U-joints), 3.23 Sure Grip from a Roadrunner and a factory rear sway bar from the Monaco. With the fender skirts and whitewalls, it was a total sleeper! With the original 2.76 gears, the car would do 70mph in low (I'd shift when the valves started to float :D), 102mph in 2nd and 120mph on the speedo would come and go into the gearshift numbers!

I'm older now :(. I found this Fury.... and 4 door or not..... I had to have it and the price was right!
I installed 4 new tires, a set of KYB Gas A Just shocks, split the exhaust with Flowmasters and bought a set of original '69 Magnum 500's last week with all of the center caps and trim rings but, I think I'm going to order a set of re-pops, with the chrome wheel, like a '68 is supposed to have. I would like to find a factory rear sway bar from an '70's B body as, on my other Fury, it was the best thing that I did to it!

Your first Fury was a nice looking car too.

It sounds like a few B bodies gave up some parts for your C.........you are very welcome here.

:sSig_welcometoourclGood looking Plymouth from a Dodge boy. Post lots of pics and keep us up to speed as you make those changes.
