Here are some more pictures from the day I saved her. I need to get some interior shots, but for those who are curious its Black vinyl and it held up pretty well. The only thing that needs attention interior wise is the non existent headliner .

it's a good thing that you bought that car. i saw it listed myself and smelled blood. wanted it to cut up for parts for my '69. nice to see a young hot rodder in the 21'st century. stick a cam in it, hang some dualies under it, and go have fun. got your "direct connection" catalog yet? when reverse fails you can be the envy of your friends by being the first to learn how to overhaul a tranny. or just cut to the chase and jam a 4 gear in it like i did with mine back in '95. those were the days. they're yours now. enjoy, SG

Welcome, looks like a good project.
I drove a solid two hours from north jersey with a uhaul flatbed trailer to get her. Accidently took the CT parkway home , apparently no trailers are allowed. We did not get pulled over but the curviness of the mountain road quickly proved to us the states reasoning regarding safetly by having no towables allowed. But we did arrive home safe , even after a few unforseen swerves... Anyways, the car defintitely was worth saving. $1500 was worth the effort. It could have easily been sent to the demo derby or had its drivetrain parted out. Currently the body has been restored and is ready for new paint. This car is lucky to have survived for sure. It was no stored in a garage most of its life like the other surivivors. Surprisingly rust was no more then just the few common lower wheel well areas. It was a very solid candidate for a partial restoration, hence I am doing so.

the merritt parkway? that road was a blast to drive at 100mph many years ago. can't now, too much traffic. always likened it to the autobahn. somehow people think that any 383/727/8 and 3/4 is worth big money so it's easy to think that some knucklehead would have yanked the drive train and scraped the rest. if the car has air, do yourself a big favor and keep it. we were foolish years ago. all the hot rodders would rip that stuff out 'cause it was to heavy. wish you the best of luck with that car. Late to the party I am; but very nice. I found mine almost the same way. I bought it up in north jersey and drove it home the next weekend.....I even video'd the ride to the "new" home for prosperity. Nice find.
