I can't make this stuff up.

JANUARY 2016: YES-THAT IS A 1974 CHRYSLER IMPERIAL 5TH WHEEL HAULER - MyStarCollectorCar

Don't give Cantflip any ideas.

Considered that one, Dobaluvr tried to hook me up with her back in December. She's for sale cheap in a place called Red Deer in Canada. Now I understand what that thing at the base of the rear window is... I thought it was some f-ed up CB antenna base... this is much worse than I imagined.

No Chance... Not now, Not tomorrow, Not ever...

This one looks legitimate to me, has the trailer plug in the rear. The picture in the trunk isn't clear enough to see if there is any lateral bracing and addition bracing to the front.

You doubt the abilities of the rednecks here in Alberta?? This one would be about 45 north of me.

I have got to talk to Doba about those "gentle miles"... the used car guy claimed.

That would have to have so much reinforcement iron in the trunk and through the trunk floor to the frame. As it stands....it would just rip the back end of that Imp apart.

It looks like it has a support under it to cross braces on the floor but that is it (at least that can be seen)

I don't know... What's a horse trailer weigh? 3000lbs? Add 2 horses at 1000lbs each and maybe another 1000lbs of horse stuff. 6000 lbs?

I used to haul about 5000 lbs worth of race car, trailer and tools with a NYB and before that, a SFGT.

I mean... I wouldn't do a fifth wheel Imperial myself, but I think it could do it.

Did I get sucked in on this one?
I'm sorry Mike, I actually didn't realize there was a link with more pics. Based on the pic you posted I would stand my ground but seeing the other pics surprises me. What the hell kind of tires are those??

Ummm WTF that didn't come up in the conversation....I was more worried about the hail damage! This I gotta see for myself! 300Rag roadtrip time!!

The tires look like Wide white walls that you used to be able to get in the 80's /90's mounted on Mopar urethane wheels like these:

I think it is the real deal. I zoomed in and can see the reinforcement.

Maybe the real deal, but definitely not an "original survivor Imperial".
