Just Brought- 1965 300L 4 Speed

One word.....SWEEEETAH. I've got ah car-Bud in Ft. Worth with ah 4 spd. Drop Top 300L but that Black with that Red interior really hitz it out of the park. Bring it to Carlisle so we can all drool on it. BTW, those mirrorz are correct for the L

I am going to try to keep it as original as is condition as I can. Except the mirrors, I just can't get passed them. What is your thoughts?
I like the functionality that was likely why the original owner wanted them... the look is good either way... If you add scoops to that hood several of us will pooling resources to find you...

I smiled when I said it but seriously :mob::mob::mob::mob:

I think I'd leave them for awile. They may grow on you, and they have been there for the life of the car after all, part of the character and indicative of the era.
Fender mount may not have been my choice, but the relocating process is an intrusive one.

Wow , very nice!!!!!!!!!
Was looking for a long time for one , i think they only made 112 of these 4 speeds.
GREAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ref the mirrors: were they listed on the sticker or build sheet? If not like my '62 300 3 sp. convert. it is extra unique. I purchased two clip on mirrors that I attach by the vent window. They clip on for me to back up and I then remove them to drive or park the car and then roll up the window.

That's what I read 96 Hardtop's and 12 Covertables
She's a beauty! A good portion of my collection are 65-66, they have super build quality and I love the body lines. As for the mirrors, I say drive the car for a while, then see how you feel about them. Your L has some nice options, even for a "muscle car"Those dual fours should get up and howl! Get out and cruise!

Congratulations. Beautiful car. A banker's muscle car. Would be really interesting to talk with the original owner and figure out his thinking behind wanting a full size car and 4 spd.

Well, Who Wouldn't?:)

300Ls are also one of my favorite designs and they are very well built. Finding one with low miles like yours stored in a heated garage all these years is getting so rare these days. You really scored, and that interior it outstanding! Plus the exterior needs virtually nothing. This is one for the record books! Enjoy.

But the placement isn't factory correct, right?

No Steve the mirror placement is not correct. Correct would place them about 12"s-14"s forward of the door opening, but their still the correct mirrors for the year starting in '63. The thing I wonder about is how our dear departed Friend Don R. from Mina missed this one. WHAT AH DROP DEAD GORGEOUS PRIZE. I'd be surprised if Gloria even has the vin # on this one based on how long it's been in hibernation We'll fix that if 66300 can make it all the way from Dunkinsville to Carlisle this July, Jer
