The FASTEN SEAT BELT light in the dash stays on all the time, even with the ignition off. Which fuse can I pull to disable it? I don't want it to have a dead battery after a few weeks at sea. I looked on-line at the 1970 service manual (this ia a 71) and no fuse diagram seemed obvious.

Thanks!

That circuit wouldn't be in the 70 FSM. No fasten seat belt light that year.

Since there doesn't seem to be a FSM on the MyMopar site, you could take a look at the 71 Dodge and/or Plymouth manual. They might be close. Try the 72 also.

If the car isn't going to move, why not disconnect the battery? If you are going to sea for a few weeks, it would be a good idea to do even if you weren't having this issue.

I'm not in charge of the car. A shipper with a wrecker is coming to Austin to take the car to Galveston to put it on a ship to take to Europe... I won't be there.

The Fasten Seat Belt Reminder Light was part of the optional $ 16.95 "Driver Aid Package" on Chryslers in 1971, together with a "lock doors reminder light", a low fuel warning light and a headlights-on warning signal. I am pretty sure that the seat belt light was not connected to the seat belt mechanism at all. The seat belt light and the lock doors light were just a reminder (!) light and were merely connected to the ignition switch light delay relais. At least that's the case on the 1971 Imperials. So these two lights should turn off about a minute or so after you close either front door.

If the light stays on forever, the first thing I would check is the sleek round delay relais can dangling from some cable under your dash, near the steering column. Usually these relais burn out, but they might as well get stuck in the "on" mode.
