That poor Monaco surrounded by Fords. Why would he have even have bought it in the first place? Probably someone convinced him that the 440 alone is worth 10k. Nice survivor, just in the wrong hands.

He probably bought it from an old person for a small amount of $$$.

Ah, yes, another 1-owner car being sold by someone who didn't buy it new. How many people have to own it before guys like that stop calling it a 1-owner car? :wtf:

And I agree, I'd be betting it's a K-code lo-po 440. It's nice, but not $8700-nice to me.

And I also agree with Stan, the reason for selling a car is irrelevant. It's for sale, that's all that matters. Another thing that needs to go away 'I don't really need to sell, just looking to see it there's any interest out there'. A transaction will occur if both parties are mutually satisfied -- putting something on as some back-story negotiating technique is just annoying to me.

Car lives now in Germany ( Marco ) , orig 440 magnum car......

Steve, I guess you didn't go, did you? If yes, do you still have a phone number or email address of the seller? I am doing some research for my friend Marco who purchased the Monaco.

Yes, I did go to look at the car, but was so turned off by the mis-representation, I failed to follow through with posting anything about it on this forum. Something must have come up to deter me from doing so, but I can not recall what it was. I did note the car was an HP 440 but the interior was pretty beat and it could not have been the miles claimed. The guy was not there when I went to see the car despite setting up the appointment to see it, so I could not find out much about its history. But I was pretty disappointed that he would represent it as a low miles car when it clearly was not, and it had some dents on it too that were not obvious in the photos either. I really didn't like the way the guy talked on the phone, as he seemed to be untrustworthy, and he had bought it recently and was just flipping it anyway, so I doubt he knows much about it himself. He said something about picking it up from an elderly gentleman, as noted in the listing, but I don't know more than that myself.

I am pretty sure I printed out the listing for the advertisement, but I looked through all my paperwork today and could not find it. I am thinking I did not keep it because I was not interested in buying it after I saw it in person. Sorry I couldn't help any more than this, but if somehow, I find the paperwork, I will get back with you - really this time! I would have probably had at least his telephone number on the printed out listing, but not his email. He said he was going to move soon back then in 2016, so even if I do find the listing, it might not yield much. I will look deeper this evening.
