Is there any chance these rubber boots from the window switches of a 1969 Imperial (Chrysler?) are reproduced?

Vdk2010.. I used JC Auto Restoratuon for both my window switches.. They are in the Washington state area. They had NOS boots and switches for my 75 NYB. give them a look see. Better yet call and ask for Jeff. He owns the joint. They are VERY thorough in the restorations of parts. Very helpful and courteous as well. I did find his prices to be a bit high, however I had no one else to compare him to.. Plus I was in desperate need of his services. Either way check out the website and give Jeff a call..

I will contact him and see. But most likely I have to find my owm way to duplicate them...

No, I think those switches are different because of there position on the doors they were lower profile in the smaller cars.

Im wondering if you couldn't make a mold carved out of Oak, place a pc. of tyre inner tube over it and mold it into shape with a heat gun...

I have different ideas. First I will try shrinking tube, that's the easiest way. If this doesn't work, I will carv a mold and dip it into liquid rubber and if that doesn't work, I will make a silicone mold and "cast" them.

Yep, these switches are Imperial-only. I guess entire NOS switches might even be cheaper than the regular Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth power window switches.

The boots are completely dry rotted and brittle. I don't think NOS parts would be any better... It's just a matter of age, not use.

I never saw nos switches, tho.

Well, there are a few out there, albeit not too many. And not cheap either.

Single switch for rear doors/quarters

4 gang switch for driver's door for cars without power locks (and without power vents)

There were eight (!) different assemblies for the front doors, depending on driver or passenger side, with or without power locks, with or without power vent windows.

Thanks Dan. But fpr $95 a piece, that's not gonna happen ;)

Making my own is much more interesting, fun and cheaper of course!
