Seat Belts '65 Monaco

[65 Monaco]

Just bought a 1965 Monaco last month and although there are front retractable lap belts I don't see any in the rear seats. Does anyone know if they were even provided on the '65? And if not, does anyone have a resource for finding after markets seat belts that will match the existing front ones? Wondering if any other model years might be the same that could also work.

The ones in my '68 were stuffed under the seat. There are some places that you can buy them. I'm thinking the name of the one is Sharon's web. You can get some on ebay that are pretty close for about $20 a piece, they're not retractable though.

Yes, front and rears were optional. The '65 Monaco I just sold had both.

I bought some for my 65 Polara from Summit. They match the red interior pretty good and are the same latch style.
Best part they were $19 each.

My understanding is that rear seat belts were an optionView attachment 83389

That sheet shows that there was a $15 credit for seatbelt delete.

FYI. I found the belts on a previous car tucked under the rear seat. They were a mess. Figured a needed to buy new repros. Looked like many a Coke or Slurpee had been spilled down there over the years. I soaked them in a bucket of water diluted Simple Green for a couple days. A little scrubbing and they cleaned up real nice.
