Does anyone know how hard/easy it would be to use a 66 newyorker 4 door floor in a 66 Polara? I recently found a stripped 66 New Yorker that has perfect floor pans, but it's a 4 door and my Polara is a 2 door.

you will have to possibly shorten the pan by a few inches but that should be easy enough to do.
I lengthened the one I found a few months ago that was from a 65 Fury and put it into my 66 Polara

I am not 100% sure but I believe the majority of the C body Mopars used the same floor pan for many years and simply modified the length depending on the model of the car.

Make sue you drill out the spot welds and then shorten it and then spot weld it back into place once you shorten it.

This pic shows the seam I am talking about. it is about 10" in front of the rear of this pan.

The three main floor sections are shared across the C-Body/Imperial lines. So you can use a Fury trunk pan to fix your Imperial.

There are 4 different center sections (Extensions) Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler-Imperial/Wagon, aside from the wagon the different bodies use the same floor sections.

Chrysler calls the pans Front/Extension/Center/Rear
23-32-22 - Front
23-32-25 - Extension
23-32-24 - Center
23-32-48 - Rear (Trunk)

I read that three times. You're confusing me.
Is it,
Front, center, rear, and trunk?
Front, center, and trunk all the same?

Front/Extension/Center/Rear

Front - From the bottom of the heater/ac box to the back of the front seat
Extension - The short filler in the back seat foot well
Center - Front of the back seat over the differential into the trunk
Rear (Trunk) - the flat part of the trunk

Question:
Where was the extra length made up on the exterior?

Between the door(s) and the rear wheel.

On the two doors the doors are the same (at least the core) so in the forward quarter panel, not really an issue as they are car line specific.

It is hard to research this in the parts book as they do not list the door car without the skin, trim panels are different etc. But things like door glass and weatherstrip are shared so that leaves me to believe the the door dimensions are the same across all car lines. So if the wheelbase is different it needs to be between the doors and the wheels.

That has always been my assumption, as I have always assumed the door frames and cores are the same. I again have always assumed that everything that is the same is shared leaving only the cosmetic skin and its associated extensions and fillers, etc.

On some cars it is more noticeable as the body lines can trick the eye.

The change in WB was to give more room in the rear seat. The difference is just a few inches.

Plymouth
65-68 119"
68-73 120"
Dodge
65-66 121"
67-68 122"
69-73 122
Chrysler
65-69 124"

I USED A FLOR PAN FROM A 67 FURY 4 DOOR IN MY 67 FURY CONVERTIBLE IT FIT PERFECT.IF THE NEW YORKER HAS A LONGER WHEEL BASE IT WIL BE DIFFERENT LENGTH.

Just take into consideration that you may have to add or trimm the rear portion of the pan

As stated previously the three main sections the same, the filler in the rear foot well are different for the different wheel bases.

Alan

Is there anywhere that you can get the specs for the different years for the floor pans? So maybe, A- B could be added or adjusted to fit the C body pans? As I've said, I'm new, but I am determined! Thanks
Besides that, we have 3 we'd like to fix up.. well, 2 cars with a parts car body, but all miss a lot of the floor pan.
