Who is going to Nats?

I agree that it was flucking hot all weekend and it sure did feel good when it finally rained late this afternoon. Had a great hang with Dave, Mike, Bob and Ross and look forward to the next time. Thanks for posting the pics Mike, very nice!

What I learned at the Nats today.
It was hot.
Good to see Matt, Mike Z, and meet Bob ( sport fury ) who I did not meet at Carlisle.
Hellcat's are fast ..........but I had to deal with 2 hellcat owners today and both were Assholes so there not scoring high in that area.
My son is becoming a parts hoarder at 12 yo nothing wrong with that. He did find quite a few parts that we need to make the Charger better so I'm proud of him for that.
It was a good time for not the same reasons as Carlisle they are different shows except for the fact they both feature Mopars.
Looking at the various car pics you took ( thank you for that) I seen quite a few open parking spots around, how was the attendance overall in the fun field? The times that I've been to the show it was quite crowded and had to cruise a bit to find a spot

That was pretty early(because of heat in and out early) yes there were plenty of spots when we got there appox 9:30 and the hellcat owner said he was not moving (he set his one canopy and two chairs right in front of our 3 staked together in a row) so we moved 7 vehicles, 3 tents and 1 golf cart 2 rows over, thanks Mr lime green Challenger. It did fill in nicely in a couple of hours in all 3 areas. Mike gets credit for pics, hell I was not even around to be in pic.

I took the pictures when I first got there, so a lot of those open spaces filled up later, but Dave and Matt can give you a better perspective of the crowd for the week. That being said, it did seem less full on Saturday, I am sure the heat and the threat of rain, effected the crowd. I was cooked and left before it rained, hats off to Dave and Matt who were out in it all week.

I headed home with the top down and downtown traffic was a parking lot, because of idiots who can't drive in the rain. This ended up to be to my advantage, I was able to pull over get the top up moments before the rain hit. I am still amazed out how well this car handles in the rain, hit a few areas of standing water, plowing right threw them without even the slightest deviation from her path.

You still there Dave or did you head home? Looks like it is going to rain all day.

what a jackass! Was he even in a spot or what? Why would he be in front of you?

Sound like he was in the driving lane

Like one of the wives said to him "it's common sense how the rows are and you apparently have none" . F him I'm done even being concerned about it.

No we left about 9:30 am never even went to track on Sunday the radar looked bad enough. About 10 mile east of PA-WV line my alternator gave up the ghost so last hour or so had to cut off A/C and sweat some more. Went to my sister's house put the battery on charge and went swimming for a few hours, home now, I'm going to have to do some charging system checks and r/r blower fan as it has just too high current draw. Then I will be ready to do it again

Sounds like you did the right move... a#^hole looking for a problem. I suppose he traded his vette for the hellkitty and got confused about his place on the food chain.

We left track after the rain came on Saturday evening with no intention of going back on Sunday. Talked to a couple of buddies that did go back on Sunday morning and they said you could shoot a cannon in any direction and not hurt anyone.
Listen to this...
At some point last night some vandals went through the hotel parking lot at the Doubletree in Newark where we stay and cut off all the trailer wiring harness connectors and made off with them. Wtf!!!

Me too! One of my group was a victim though and I guess it could have been worse, they didn't touch any cars.

Unbelievable, I would love to get my hands on the SOB. That doesn't even sound like kids, that sounds like some malicious ******* who got inconvenienced some time over the weekend by traffic or something.

I bet it was the local uhaul store looking sell off an overstock of trailer connectors....

Seriously, I am glad they didn't hurt any cars... stupid inconvenience, but one that could be fixed easily enough. Maybe it was the hellkitty driver...

Isn't that what it's made for ? :poke:
