Hi all,

I've located a 67 Monaco 500 that I'm swooning over. It's quite far from me and a bit in the pricey side but is a native southern car that is reportedly unmolested (mechanically and otherwise). The gent has been more than upfront about problems that do exist so I'm inclined to trust him.

I'd like to get your guy's read on this tag and compare it with what I know about the car before going any further. It's not the clearest picture due to surface rust but if any of you can make it out, let me know.

Thanks!

I think this decodes as a gold painted roof over a cream body and a gold interior.

Nice, that was a big question for me as I wasn't aware that a different roof color (unless it was vinyl) was a factory option. Spot on. Thanks, Matt!

Pictures of course, whatever you decide.

Now, I dunno if you've checked my photo garage or heard my songs of lament over the loss of my 68, but THEE one thing I'd have had over my 68 was a 67 console car in the same color with a factory 383.... hmmm

Rivets not screws ;)

I'll guess it was built at the Belvedere plant meaning the VIN is DP23H74******
