I'm not my dad wants to finish it himself. I still feel bad about not being able to help with the sanding. He did some more progress. I also started a photo album with both of the '61s but I am not putting a photo of the other 1 after it was burned. I am only doing photos of the events I did of the car then the replacement starting with the delivery, arrival installation of the interior and the events I did before the restoration. I will even print photos of the restoration . When more work in done I will take photos and post them here and on Forwardlook.net

Do you think dad would adopt me? I would love to have a bodyman on "staff"...:). This is really going to be a sweet car when you are finished, I hope to get to see it in person one day.

It will be a while before its done. I plan to go down to the garage later to see if there has been more progress. If there has been some then I will take photos and upload them

I have more progress but its the fabrication and the trial fittings. More metal has been fabricated were there is a line that is were it will be cut and the new metal will be welded on

When this car is finished it will be the last and final car my dad is going to restore for me. I will let him change the oil and rotate the tires when needed

Is dad retiring, or are you looking to slow down with this much work? I admire the effort to redo such a rare car.

He is a retired tire salesman he does this as a hobby. Here is more progress of the restoration. I noticed the cancer inside the rear quarters . I am not blaming the person who sold me the car. I know these cars did not survive well because of the salt on the road during the Winter Months.

Here is more progress the inner panel was grinded and new metal has been fabricated. This old forward look has cancer but that will be cured.I do not blame the seller . I blame the assembly line when the car was assembled ( Used red dye as primer) The salt in the roads during the winter months and the last time the car was repainted it was not done right.
When I had my other '61 I had a rule during the winter months the car was not allowed out on the road because of a liquid that was put on the road to melt the ice

More progress metal being held in place until it will be welded on. This is the drivers side . I plan to take the rusty metal that was cut from the car to the scrap yard for cash . I also put POR 15 on the inner rear Quarters to stop the rust
