I stumbled upon a pile of old family photos today. Here are a couple pictures of 4 Imperial convertibles my dad owned, circa 1981. I was 18 years old then and drove all these cars regularly. Picture is in Seattle, WA. 1959, 1962, 1966 and 1968

Very kool pictures! Any coincidence that they were all similar in color?

These converts have all moved on to new homes. My dad passed away about 12 years ago, and the 68 was the only one still in his possession when he passed. I really wanted to keep the 68 convert, as it is an Omaha Shriner car (dark green top and interior),

had been in the family since 1974, and was a great car. But I only kept one of my dads cars ( 58 Dodge Convert) and had to let the rest of them go. This picture is me and my son on the day I sold the '68 in 2005.

Just happened that these 4 converts were all white. If I recall correctly, we got these all in one place for a quick photo shoot, as the 1959 convert in the first picture was being sold at the time of that photo. I remember my dad having at least three other Imperial converts over the years, including a yellow 64, blue 66 and red 67, and I'm sure there were a few more.

Here are a few photos of the 58 Custom Royal. I hope to have it at the WPC National Meet next summer in Seattle. The first photo was at Forest Grove Oregon Concours in about 1999, driven there from Seattle.
