Gas mileage on a 1977 Newport with a 400

I'm getting 10-11 mpg on the highway with a 2.76 rear axle.

Every 3rd service plaza from Philadelphia to Chicago and never thinkin' 'bout trying to make it to the 4th plaza 'cuz she'd never make it the extra 40 milez to the next one and I hate walkin'. That's an average of 120 milez per 20 gallon tank at 85 MPH+ ah little if yeah wanna do the math Commando. I loved those Cross Ramz but they waz way thirsty at that speed with All 8 barrelz just ah suckin' and them side exit pipez just ah screamin'

I just ran the extra miles east on the turnpike and got off at Harrisburg and headed south on 83 and took the 1st exit in Maryland and took 439 and the country roads back to Aberdeen and bypassed the mess going through Baltimore.

I'm pretty sure I'm never getting off at Breezwood coming back and taking 70 through Baltimore ever again.

83 iz ah great way to start the trip south from Carlisle too Bob, Just take 695 west around B-more pick up 95 and then 495 east around D.C. and back on 95 and just keep on gettin' it. Piece-a-cake Bugady Bugady

0.93 per litre here which translates to $3.53 :(
So it really isn't all rainbows and unicorns in the Great White North...

Note to self... lots of nice cars in Canada, because they use garages as something other than additional living space and can't afford to drive them as much...:thankyou:

Jerry, I take the first exit in Maryland when I run south on 83. I get off on 439 and take it all the way until I get to Harford County. And it's all back roads to get to my house in Aberdeen. 695 is like a gigantic traffic jam all the time.
