Today I got the final car of a three car deal I made last week. I traded a '67 Lincoln Continental suicide door convertible for this '70 Fury Convertible, and the '71 T&C wagon and '71 Chrysler 300 I've posted previously.

I haven't looked at the fender tag yet, but what I know so far is that it was built with a 318/904/8.25" drivetrain, manual drum brakes, and had A/C. It's been repainted and has a new top, but some assembly will be required. I have both '70 and '71 Sport Fury grilles/headlight assemblies, plus it came with the '70 Sport Fury hood with blinkers. I'll likely drop a 440 or stroked 400 into it.

I think I'll also put on a set of black GT stripes to break up the vast "orangeness".

Sorry for the sub-par pics...

Nice project, congrats!

It's only money

So yesterday I broke out the catalogs and got online to put together a spreadsheet detailing the parts I think I'll need to restore the Fury convertible. Of course the significant expenses are an engine build (440), the interior, and a rebuilt trans. I already have '452 heads with hardened seats, HP exhaust manifolds, 3.55 gears & Suregrip for the 8.25" rear, and a set of road wheels w/caps.

Attached is a snapshot of that spreadsheet.

You are going to use a Big Block with a 8 1/4?

Psych. I've got a couple of C-body 8 3/4" diffs to choose from that I can swap in. I bought the 8 1/4" parts for a Dart.

As for the spreadsheets, a real eye-opener is how much I've dumped into my '67 Satellite.

It's at $33K and
I bet I never gave a specific figure my entire life.
Not worth talking about it.
If I gave a specific figure, 1/2 of you would look down at me and 1/2 of you would look up to me.
I've even starting to erase numbers now.

Gonna put this car on the market come spring. If anyone is interested, hit me up. Moving some inventory...

Sounds like a job for..........
