No fancy 4 valve cross flow head. This engine was the last engine design from the engineer that designed the slant six before he retired. Now very old school but I remember when it was kinda cutting edge with a turbo in the 80"s. Still popular though and has it's following.
A 2 valve 135 cubic inch 4 cylinder non cross flow head running well over 30 pounds of boost on a getrag geared 5 speed manual doing some serious sh!*.T
Last time I drove mine it scared the crap out of me...at the track it was a 12 second car that could handle on the road. Hope to have mine on the road again in the spring. Not a C body but it is a weird Mopar!!!!

Here I thought you were claiming these numbers as yours, and I was in disbelief. That is a specific machine. Side note - one of my first cars was an '80 VW rabbit 2 dr. Canadian version (round headlights, small square taillights, 4 speed beetle style, down and where 1st is for reverse). One of the most fun cars I have owned,when it started.

That is awesome. I work with a guy who is big into turbo'd Mopars, he'll get a kick otta this when Christmas Vaca is over and I can show him.

What a launch! 143 mph in an Omni must feel like 200! Lol

No way these are my numbers. I wouldn't get in that car as I would kill myself. My car was setup to run anywhere 15 to 28 psi boost and my usual was 19 psi on pump premium. There is a well known member here that also has a turbo mopar that I had a conversation with. His car is presently at the shop of the driver of the Omni in the video being set up.. The driver in the video is a well known turbo dodge guy and has a race shop..

Gary D got my attention when I saw a video of his silver K-car absolutely *whip* a Supra by about 10 car lengths. I believe he has/has a Caravan also, not sure what else. Both light colors, mid-late 80s style. I haven't typed with him in awhile, but he's undoubtedly a great source of FWD 2.2 info.
 
Back in the early 90s in Detroit, there was a guy with a turbo Sundance. He worked at Chrysler, and it just absolutely trounced anything and everything.

I would see him out at the spots, street racing, he was great at going out and putting a couple passes down racing, like maybe a 305 Camaro, and giving is enough juice to just beat him.
By the time the night was over, he'd be turned up, running with the top 10% of the pro street guys.

These little cars are bad *** in the right hands, always wanted a GLH. It's a great testament to the driveline team at ChryCo, that these transaxles can take so much abuse.

It's a long ways off from a C body, but thanks for posting OP! That's sweet!
 
Yes I know Gary Donovan and although not well and have known him many years. He has a great website of info on these cars. I thought you meant a Gary here on this forum. I don't know of a Gary with a TD [turbo dodge] on this forum.
