That is very close to where I live....

I've heard rumors of this car existing before... Never saw it and quite honestly, I always dismissed them.... The reason I dismissed them is a friend of mine, who also lives near where the car is located, had a 69 GTX Hemi 4 speed convertible! IIRC, that car was originally blue, but it had been custom painted in a white pearl. I always thought that there wasn't much of a chance of having two in the same area, let alone two white 4 speed cars.

There's a few guys around that area that might be involved with or know who has this car. It has me very curious.... I might make a call or two later today.

I made a call and I'm pretty sure who owns this car....

This family has had a bunch of cars over the years and I can say that it is a genuine Hemi car.

Normally I would offer to take a look at any cars in my area that are for sale. In this case, I won't be making that offer.

According to the discussion about this car on Moparts, there were only 12 Hemi GTX's built in 68.

Guys there who's business it is to know these cars seem to think 100 large is in the ballpark and that the restored price is north of $200K.

this one just sold at Mecum in January of this year for 180. and it is a 19,000 original mile car, which is always worth more.

I've longed after a 71 Cuda for many years and have had an E body and A body but with the current prices, I can't. However it is my opinion that while they won't utterly lose their value, I think what befell the 50's cars will also happen to the muscle cars. I'd wager that over the next 15 years prices will soften at least 30% if not 50%. I've already watched as life long muscle car guys are selling off as they get further into their retirements. They all keep one or two, but not the collections like they used to be. I could be wrong, but I've already started seeing prices soften.
