This puppy came into my life today. Two things, trying to ascertain the year range and also find a base for it (see picture).

Label on it calls it "MOPAR AIR CLEANER PART NO 2658892.

id cut a sheet of thin metal from home depot and pookey it in and use it until you can find a good base.

try not to die -

Or just google mopar air cleaner id it will take you to nicks garage and he has a extensive picture id of all mopar air cleaners. It's quite interesting

When you get to his site just hit the tool box button and hit the air cleaner id line

That base is completely ruined. The good part is that a 383 2-bbl. base is the same as a 4-bbl. base. so finding a cheap replacement for the base should be pretty easy.
Nice that the guy didn't care that he had unfiltered air going into his motor. :BangHead:

I would find a cheap off shore 4bbl base , or chrome air cleaner assembly, then use the base from this to repair, graft on that butchered base.....and you will be good to go!

I was going to say pre-68 due to the round snorkels on it, but Mr. C was a tad more specific then me. :)

Thanks to a forum member, I got a great deal on a base and now I'm rocking the super cool dual snorkel! I did a cursory spray paint on the top until I get it powder coated. This forum rocks.

Something about a part being hacked up on my cars keeps me awake at night...... That is much netter, sleep well.

1965-67 383, 413 and 440 except 1967 B-body 440.
Old thread, but..
That air cleaner would not be right for 67 C-body 440HP either - that one has a similar air cleaner to the B-body, but is about 1/2" taller.
