Parting out a 1970 Newport Convertible.
Was going to fix it up but discovered frame is split from rust and fatigue in the engine bay.
Was a Big Block car, no engine or transmission.

Most parts available.
Bumpers
Hood
Fenders
Seats (Cores)
Interior bits
Exterior bits

The car is stored at a friends house, a 45 minute drive from my house. It may take me a couple days to get requested pictures with more detail.

Am restoring a 1970 Newport Convertible. Need rear view mirrors both sides; passenger door handle; front bumper filler (rubber strip between hood and bumper); glove box and glove box door clip (little rod glove box door attaches to); vacuum diagram for 383-4 and some vacuum parts; and brake booster. Good condition, not necessarily concours, required. Please respond with prices. If you or anyone reading this can help; it would be appreciated. Can be reached at 702-742-3736 (Text preferred as not always available). Thanks Larry

Sent you a PM but just in case... I'm in need of the passenger side convertible top latch - or both latches - if not broken and still available. Thanks!

Where is this car located?

Restoring same car. Would be interested in passenger rv mirror if in good condition. (Can't really tell form pic). Also, I have front bench seat car. Might be interested in converting it to bucket seats as in photos you have. Easily done? and all parts needed available? Sorry I am new to this Mopar game. Understand car is in BC. I am in San Francisco Bay area part of year, so could come up.

I couldnt find seat backs and side shields to save my *** until Bob started to reproduce them, now theyre all over (used) like **** in a barnyard

Yes, but the ones Bob reproduces will likely last a lifetime, as they are much better than the original flimsy ones that don't hold up. His C pillar plastic cover reproductions are almost ready as well. He plans to have them attach with velcro rather than the damn clip in the center originally. Much easier to remove and install as a result.

Good Afternoon,
The mirrors are part of a set. Cannot sell them individually.
And the seats that are in the car have the bench seat in the middle, and the drivers seat is pretty rough shape.

Side note. I only have certain parts left, car is gone as of last week.

I would be interested in any of the pot metal moldings around the top well that haven't been spoken for already if they are not too pitted (and you haven't decided to restore the car with a new stub frame instead!). Thanks!

Cman you send some pictures of the seats. I really only need the frames as I will have them reupholstered,

Kickywow’s last visit to the site was May 2, 2017. Seems like after the car was gone, so was he......
ugh, that's too bad. is there a way to clean up all these old and obsolete posts? I have a 70 Newport convertible and I thought I possibly hit the jackpot with this, but then realized the post is from going on 2 years ago...

I am sorry that you went through the elated/crushed roller coaster, but I respectfully submit that there is zero need to clean up old posts. All one needs to do is simply to look at the post dates. Don't worry, when I really started looking for my 1970 Polara 'vert, I learned that lesson the same way you did -- I know how that feels!

Contrary to what you're suggesting, keeping all the info on the site is key to many things. For example:

1. With respect to the "for sale" posts, having the old ones helps avoid being burnt. There are quite a few dishonest flippers out there who do not disclose car defects, invent fake stories about the histories of the cars they are selling, etc. Such folks would like nothing more than the old info disappearing.

2. On other matters, simply by using the search button on FCBO, I have found a lot of the info I needed in random old posts. Quite often, the original poster who had the experience is not there to answer anymore -- either they've moved on, or in some cases they have passed on. In many cases, the info actually was in "for sale" posts.

Bottom line, the old posts on FCBO are in my view a key resource for C-body enthusiasts. For my own convertible, there were multiple threads on the car -- I would not want any of them to disappear, lots of info in each.

New user mistake, no worries! Have to agree with @ayilar , old posts always prove to be a great resource, especially when these cars suddenly appear years later. Good luck with your search!
