Noticed this listing, and wanted to see if anyone on here either 1.) knew anything about it, or 2.) had any other thoughts..... on this nifty blue 1966 New Yorker 2-door hardtop.

Interestingly (and highly) optioned, but the price is nothing short of breathtaking. I noticed what seemed to be the same car on another site across the river (from this dealer) in NY last fall, at a much lower price. Who knows, maybe it's been repainted or something, but $28K seems pretty unrealistic for one of these........

It's beautiful, look at all those window switches!:)

I looked it up again, it had been listed at another "flipper" shop in NJ for $10,500 not that long ago, but from the later photos, I don't see $18K in work that happened in the last 6 months........

The undercarriage is rust free but shows that the car has been used sparingly.
Please take your time and carefully look over the many pictures of this truely rare find. It is just amazing that a car could look this good and run so well in every way after 50+ years of use. There is not much history to go along with this car which is unfortunate. It is obvious that it has had a very modest past and was treated like a queen throughout its life. While we have her, we will try to do some research to find any history we can but Chrysler is very weak in the documentation area. Please read the fine print before you purchase a $28,000 undocumented car.Only 95xxx plus miles.

It sure is exciting to look at, that shade of blue certainly shows the beautiful design well. I remember seeing it here before, too. If I were wealthy, I'd jump!

The New Yorker has the same thing in common with this lady, nice to look at, but wayyy out of our price range.

I'm officially flipping my Polara now for $28,995.00

You will not find a better example of a c body convertible
Ok Rexies is better and so is Zmurgys but that's not the point
I just want lots of $$$$

So I can move to my next build

Im doing the same with my Monaco... it hasn't even arrived yet but its VERY RARE. I guarantee its 1 of 1 that has dirt on the carpet in the specific place that it does. Also has the ultra rare and desirable JC Whitney third brake light installed by the second owner option. Man, I'm gonna be ROLLING IN IT.

Not to take away from this car, it's beautiful. But INSANELY priced.

I'm thinking this thing is hitting the rounds at these consignment "Showplace" stores looking for a fat daddy. Stereo in a 66? Must be a conversion.

Still, it's a gorgeous car, and yeah this one brings back memories too. Summer 66 dad was to asked to turn in his Simca company car. His pick from the sales bank or pool was a 2dr N.Y. loaded or a just released Charger same color as this car. Dad surprised us, he went for the new fastback.

Hold on a second! I figured it out!
The "C" in c body must be confusing the seller thinking it's a Chevy!
That's why it's got a Chevy price tag!!

And my teacher said I was challenged :)

Here's where it was listed previously in NJ, at $10,500, which, relatively speaking.... was a bargain.

1966 Chrysler New Yorker - Big Boyz Toy Box

The lower priced listing had clearer photos too...... It begs the question though, why would it sell at one, then appear at another one so soon thereafter, and with such a dramatic markup?
