1966 Dodge Monaco 2dr...

So, last night I was able to work on the Monaco a little more:
Installed the Polara outer rear lights. Doesn't look correct, but they are complete and will pass inspeciton.
There was a gap between the passenger rear quarter window, and the front window. I couldn't figure out why. It took me a little figuring out, but I FINALLY was able to figure out what I needed to do to get the rear quarter glass to move forward more. I knew it had to be a bolt. LOL
Now to try and figure out how to replace that front slide piece on the front window... or better yet, where to even find one!
Slowly but surely. Although I am hoping to have the car done before our family reunion in Oklahoma on June 11. I think it would be cool to take my wife's Grandma for a cruise around Miami in it.

Well, last night I went out and tried to figure out why I have no headlights. I can hit the foot dimmer switch, and the high's come on, and one of the low's...

Pulled the wiring at the firewall, and yuck... It needs to be cleaned pretty good. But I figured whil I was at it, I might as well replace some other things... so this is what I bought today:

Windshield – $485 (scheduled for install on Friday afternoon)
Light Switch - $21
Foot dimmer switch - $6
New rear quarter glass seals - $25

I need to get this bad boy on the road! LOL

Nice, money well spent. You won't regret it once the rubber hits the road.:icon_thumright:

Looks like it will be another 3 or more weeks before I get this thing done. I was going to have the windshield replaced, but there is one small catch: No one has the windshield seal for it. Evidently Precision's factory burnt down, or something, and now there is a backlog of windshield seals for this... sucks.

Ok, well I finally found a compatable windshield gasket. For a Fury no less, LOL. Paid less than 100 shipped for it. YAY!!! So I might be able to get the windshield replaced next week.

I also bought new headlights, and now they work when I turn them on. YAY!
However, the highbeams will not turn off, despite having replaced the footswitch. Now I have to figure out why THAT won't work...

Also, I've had to make a compromise on the tail lights, since the outer ones were cracked or broken. I ordered a set from a 66 Polara. It will look goofy for a while, but at least that will give me time to source some correct Monaco ones.

Hi,
very nice car :D

In Kanada there is someone selling Repro Tail Lights. They look good on the pictures:
