The bench seat is original & PERFECT, I agree there is more room for lovin' & the point of the car is the sleeper aspect. NOBODY would expect that much power under the hood of THIS car. It would have buckets if I could get a perfect match however. As for the hubcaps: I really expected them to fall off with all that power but none ever have while driving fast over country roads. The good thing about wheels is they are easily replaced. How about 15x7 American racing 5 spokes? What's with the chrome bumper comments? Its like: "I want my car to look like every single other 71 Dodge Polara on the road." ;) Hood scoops would be nice if I didn't need to bolt on anything cheap.

Because the painted bumpers look cheap, something about them that are wrong. The black tail light panel..... The wheels... with the white top it needs a white interior. With no vinyl roof it needs a black interior.

The sleeper look is over rated in these cars. No one expects it in that car regardless. So the upgraded seat pattern to the Brougham buckets are the way to go.

There, I said it. My apologies if I crossed the line but that's the way I see it.
It's a work of art and the artist did it his way.... I'm fine with it. There are reasons why I didn't buy it when it was original and on the roadside for 2500...

What a bunch of nitpickers!!
You can't please all the people all the time. I like the car, but I've just seen pics. I think it's a well done "what if" car. I'm not a purist with my cars, (I can and do appreciate stone stock cars more thanks to the purists here on FCBO) so I have no problem with the changes done to the car. But to each his own.

@500cubes, did you get the swanky outfit with the car, and if so is it included in the sale?

This is a real nice car. I watched the build and rode in it before it left MN. Dan really wanted that hog leg shifter and it was a trick to get the car set up so the you wouldn't mash your fingers on the dash or hit the seat when shifting. I gave Dan a gutted 70 2 door fury to do some experimentation on before he cut the floor for the shifter. The car was a real attention getter at Mopars in the Park when it was there a few years back. I think that is where MCG shot the pics for the article. RIP Dan.

It's not the most desirable car in the world.

It is dozens of times more desireable than 95% of the cars I have seen posted.

I didn't know or didn't remember. ..Damn it, we had a time ribbing him and he handled it well. Good guy and apparently a talent

I didn't catch that in Billy post. Billy are you saying Dan is dead?
Yes. He died unexpectedly Feb 17th. He was very talented. I learned a lot from him. He bought 4 or 5 cars from me over the years.

Actually he got banned. It's too bad because he had a lot to offer. He had complete notes instructions of that 4 speed conversion but that info is gone now.

Alot of people showed up at a memorial at the Mopar Ponderosa.

Youre kidding? I only know of one guy who got banned here and that was early on . That guy came looking for Stan about a year in and was relentless. Really? How is that possible? Joey, we need to know...

Hey Billy, Are you the guy mentioned in the MCL article that wouldn't sell Dan a Fury to drive in the winter? ;) I miss Dan. Are you sure he didn't just get bored with all the trash talk of his build & not come back? Or something like that. ;) Not that's I think its bad, everybody has one, an ******* that is. Ooops I mean....

Can't stand painted bumpers on these cars. They make the car look like all of today's cars with plastic bumpers. In fact I feel it makes the car more like everything on the road. Besides when was the last time I saw a 71 Polara on the road where I could say there goes another 71 Polara with chrome bumpers? Had to be at least 30 years ago and in my life will probably never see another. Chrome is just plain classy.
