We've talked about trunks before and some seem to be spatter painted and some not. My car wasn't.

I don't have a "before" pic though and it's not body color now.

I don't recall a fuselage painted body color on the inner quarters.... that's all I'm saying. Is the 300 Hurst different ?

For such an expensive/time consuming restoration, I would have thought he would have started with a factory a/c car and one with a console. The add on air, especially, really kills it for me at least.
Not to mention the cracked steering wheel - I though the HURSTs has an Imperial wheel.

I remember, when my mom was a registered nurse, going with her to doctors office to pick up some paperwork. The year was 1970 and I was a senior in high school. Sitting out in front of the doctor's office, was this huge, awesome looking Chrysler with a hood scoop and a spoiler. I thought that was an awesome car. My first experience with a Chrysler Hurst car.
Flash forward several years, and that same car reappeared in a garage in a neighboring town. The doctor had died and the car was tied up in heirship battles for years. Don't know it's final fate. Every time I see one, I think of that car and wonder if that's the doc's car.

I found this one in the Seattle area, it was sitting in a shipping container in Long Beach, CA for over 30 years. It has a very cool history. Sold it to a guy in Ohio who did a full resto on it. Probably should have kept it...

The lowest optioned 300 Hurst on the planet. This car is the "stripper"/"sleeper" 300-H!

Hundreds of pounds lighter than a "standard" 300 Hurst; clearly it was ordered for racing duty.

Believe me if my brother in law didn't need the room this car would be staying. This car is museum quality.

Well she's up to 40,000. His reserve must be fairly high as they haven't reached it. I don't feel so bad putting the money in mine now that I see people are willing to bid up to 40.

Seems strange there was no last minute flurry of bids. Not sure any Hust is worth $40k, but if that high bidder really wanted it I would be surprised if there isn't an offline deal.

Two C bodies selling for that kind of money that are not perfect is encouraging. Maybe will effect the C market enough that it makes it harder for guys looking for a donor driveline and the Derby guys.
