Reminds me of my 1975 GranFury/GranCoupe SE(special edition).. That '74 is a great car. I'm guessing a 360ci motor. I especially love the way these cars look from the front... and that's a great price at $3000!
I hope it goes to a good new owner.
I bought my 1975 GranFury 2dr GranCoupe in 2002 for $3,800. in Poughkeepsie, NY($4500. was asking price). It had 76K miles, 100% original and was like a new car in every way. She was 'avocado gold' with a cream vinyl roof and cream vinyl interior. PS, PB, 360ci motor. I had just been displaced from lower Manhattan because of 911. I moved upstate to a friends pastoral apple orchard in Columbia County. Saw the Fury looking so pretty & handsome all in one.. parked in front of a big old house. It was late at night, I wrote down the number, called the next day and the rest is history. Coming from the city where I hadn't needed to own a car- suddenly she appeared! I drove her joyfully for 2 years.
I stored her way out in my brothers garage in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio when I moved back to the city. He had a crappy Honda Civic from the early 90s that needed over $2k in repairs, and the mechanic willing to do the work saw my car parked in the same garage and asked if he could have the Fury as payment. The Honda was to go to my 16 year old niece as her first car. Ugh. So when my brother called me about it I said, Yes. Heartwarming? Heartbreaking?
That niece.. She never did thank me.

For the record, I thought I'd share with members a couple of photos I took of her back then on the orchard. Boy I hope that mechanic is taking good care of her.

My Dad bought a new 75 Gran Fury. It was that light blue metallic with dark blue vinyl roof.

It was loaded compared to what he usually bought. PS PB AM/FM vinyl roof nice upholstery and wheel covers too.

The 69 Belvedere that preceded it was one step up from a taxi. The only options were 318/904 and HD suspension. No PS, no PB no radio delete, no radio period.

I'd love to find one.

CG-1 that is a great car! I had a 74 Fury III 4 door that was the same color back in high school. I've been looking for a two door version like what you had for some time now.

I found this one for sale in Wisconsin last month. I was about to jump on a plane to go get it but the guy put it on a lift and said it had way too much rust. He didn't recommend me buying it. The frame was compromised.
