Hello there, can anyone advise if a '69 Fury would already have rear safety seat belt mounts/bosses/brackets/threaded holes etc??
R

Yes they have threatened holes. Take the bottom of your back seat out and you will have easy access to them.

If the car was sold new in the U.S., not only would the holes be there, threaded, but the belts should have been there too. Required via Federal mandate a few years before.

Hey Snotty,
I'm in Oz and REAR seat belts did not become compulsory here till 1973, hence my question. Another thing I have been told is that the Yankee/Canadian cars have UNC threaded mounting holes but the AUSSIE regulations demanded UNF threads, so on and so on ???
I'll just do my own thing, but without pulling the interior of my Aussie assembled CKD Canadian Fury 111 derivative I thought I would ask you guys the question!
Any feed back is helpful,
Cheers!!

Ah. I saw where you were from but didn't know the origin of the car.

By the way, UNC/UNF... ??? What's the difference? Seriously, I have no idea.

G'Day, UNC is a coarse American standard thread but UNF is a fine thread, I cant remember what the relative teeth per inch were but no doubt "Googalable?"

If they weren't mandatory, my guess was that they would have been optional. It's also my guess that the mounting holes would have been standardized, and the belts just not included if not ordered.

You also wouldn't need to "pull the interior" of your car. You can see just by removing the bench seat. 10 minutes, max.

Thanks everyCbody for your help, that's what this site is all about. Without your help us distant "foreign" Mopar fans (and our cars) that are isolated far from the Us of A and Canada would disappear into oblivion!
A similar vintage "Mopar" site has also been a big help to me with my cherished '39 Chrysler Royal, where else would I discover that a vitally needed part is sitting on a lonely bench somewhere in Arizona or Florida or ??
Thank goodness for the "Internet Web" in the good old days I would never have found the part I want in the local Rag, not ever.
