And I only enjoyed one panic stop on I4 going home... which is a really pleasant drive on I4. I think the seat pucker will eventually come out and I know for sure my ABS and trailer brakes are working. She did good for a 1/2 ton...

And I have it in writing...
Sorry... you know you're invited to help retrieve and/or use the parts if I get it. I want the leftover shell from this one to see what patch panels I can get from the carcass. Maybe some glass too.

I'm hoping he does good enough selling the rest of the stuff I'm not after, that it won't hurt so bad to sell me the shell when he's done.

Sheezus Jeff.... what are you gonna do with that?
Parts... this one is coming all the way apart. Some items will be rehomed, but she is providing me several PITA items I have been trying to figure out how to acquire and ship reasonably.

This car has essentially saved the 76 NYB... hence the thread title.
That was my thought exactly.

Jeff, as I looked at the pictures of it on the trailer my only thought was where are the straps that are supposed to go over the roof that were so plain to see if the post from a few weeks ago.

Safe? or not?

I have her stored a few miles away. In the pics it's all strapped for a 70 mile trip I wanted to do without drama... for my local back and forth to work on her (primarily on weekends), I will try to live up to expectations better.
And I have it in writing...
I overpaid for her (not really)... Instead of just the shell I have bumper cores (the front is kinda nice actually) and I will be finishing off the engine deal which @mindshark13 set me up nicely with a couple of buyers... one in here who will get first rights once she's checked out and pulled. Best of all, doing the deal this way allows me to be personally responsible for any breakage under the hood. Well worth fronting a bit more cash for.
I would just drive it.
Nah... too many doors for you, I couldn't be responsible for helping to ruin your image:lol:

Nice score Jeff. Having a parts car for your parts car is a great idea...now I know why my storage bill is so much... 3 projects at the homestead 3 parts cars/projects/gonna drive them someday cars in storage. I really need an acreage....

Jeff, you are out of control... :poke:
Agree... but don't tell management I said that. I called her Saturday evening as I started to walk home from the storage (5 milesish), when she picked me up a mile or two later I told her about the purchase... The offsite parking of the car, trailer and a tow vehicle has freed up a space in the driveway, and helps keep the peace around here.

Let me see if I am seeing this correctly.
You leave one morning without telling Viv what you were going to do, call her up later in the day, ask her to pick you up at a storage facility, and announce to her you bought YET another car...

Keep tap dancing on that minefield, my friend... :poke:

Can you teach me ObiWan?? The mere mention of another car and the red headed left handed school teacher goes ten miles North and six miles West...then its hallway sex for a month :(

I never actually claimed to be smart... :D

Actually, I think she's happy when I get out of the house on her days off sometimes. She never even asked what I was doing when I hooked up the trailer and left... just what time I thought I would be home, and I was late.:)

You at least have the advantage of being able to avoid the "*** kicking foot"... I'm pretty sure Viv can outrun me. She actually took it well with a minimal amount of swearing, as long as I keep it out of her field of vision, it doesn't really exist.

I think this is applicable:

I feel really sensible in this Company. No more cars than closed storage space at my house.
Of course right at the Moment I still could skip the planned sale of my 10 car storage facility.:D

So, when will you be renting an old airplane hanger, Jeff...
:stop: I already looked into that...

I'm glad I could be of service... :)
