The $40,000 '65 Chrysler Newport... What Happens When a C mates with an SRT

A Mecum Saturday Night Feature Car. Nothing more.
A fat, sweaty, rich guy with a comb over and his Hawaiian shirt buttons popping will buy it.
A time tested formula.

I'd rather see it like this that have it be a derby car, any day! I kinda like it, but the ghetto wheels would be the first thing to go. I could live with all the other mods just fine.

Someone put a lot of work into this car. I can't believe a modified C went for this kind of price. I guess our cars are getting even more popular.

Come on! You love it and you know it. No crap on this beauty top to bottom. Lean back, close your eyes and imagine what it's like to drive. No wallowing on corners but no harsh ride either, brakes that will stop it as fast as it accelerates, power to push by any rice burner in style, 26 mpg's, and looks that'll get you any babe in town not to mention the size of the back seat. Now go outside and take a serious look at your ride and tell me you don't love it.
You know you do!

Car needs to be lower with bigger tires and smaller wheels. That car is a damn good price at $40,000. Go price an Arrington 392 for me... My question is why would they put that POS Tremec 6060 in there?

The Pimps and Johns at these auctions are destroying the car hobby! 911 Porsches for 6 figures, VW buses for 60 grand, E Bodies for 6 figures - insane!

Sharp ride, maybe change the wheels maybe not, for sure drive the crap out of it.

The wheels are the thing I hate the most about it. It's not my cup of tea overall but I guess that doesn't matter.

Quarters are butchered without the skirts...I agree with polara71...all wrong.
