"I built it the way I wanted it and humbled by the positive responses I've received"
At least his doesn't have hood scoops...

:poke:

Yeah, well, the black stripes look out of place. I do like the green but would prefer that in all black

Can FCBO trademark C-bodies and we can claim violation of our ™ so these bastards can't use that word.

You could show a Ham Sandwich, Call it a C-body to enough people, and get 10,000 Likes.
You are showing this thing to the LCD of stinking, smelly, unwashed masses.
Then they come up to you at sometime in your guaranteed future and tell you they had a 440 Hemi in a Lincoln just like yours...

I think this was his Inspiration, unfortunately it will neither handle nor sell like this one.

On a positive note Stan's back to full steam again. :)

But you said it looked good without a vinyl roof

Found pics of 78 NY
Thanks for that link... I knew this one had shown up before...

And an additional quote...
Hi impact Lime Green and black stripes? It's over before it started.

I am flabbergasted at the lack of negative response... I suppose there is a fear of going against the crowd or retribution on FB... I don't really play in there, so IDK.

As I said in the other post, if there are before photos showing a beat down car, he will have my blessing if not my enthusiasm. If he started off with something nice, it will be hard to not want to neuter him so this doesn't spread into another generation.

Either way, he now has his "participant" trophy... maybe he values his the same as I value mine... A showing of support/approval from folks I like and respect. I also can not claim any bragging rights of "I did this myself", we all know where my beauties came from.

I think his car may be a good example of why "I did this myself" isn't always a good thing. I will admit that his choices probably do appeal to a younger crowd who don't know the model or love the cars for what they are/were.

Complete lack of first Hand experience when These cars were new results in such conversions. As nobody ever had it in many overseas countries due to marginal or non existing Export rates this phenomenon is even more common over here with some praiseworthy exceptions like Scandinavia for example.
That said I think General interest in exploring the historical Background is also a bit more common in some circles over here and the Internet made this way more easier than in the 80s for example where bad taste literally ruled US car Meetings over here.

That car is what the local news would decide to show out of all the righteous rides at the Dream Cruise.
Guy with a Riddler candidate or a 1 of 1 Hemi Cuda just shakes his head.
Or a "C" body sunroof power vent car!!
