I just went through the whole thread and as a Vet I don't like them not standing for the anthem/flag. It is a symbol of our country and our people. When we defend our country, we are defending the people and our way of life, the flag is a representation of this. I believe this is why so many Vets find it so offensive.
I said it before, if the players really wanted to make a difference they would find different outlets to either make their stand/protest and bring attention to their cause. Like others said I would be fired for doing the things they are doing at work. They are being paid to play a game, show some respect, do your job, protest on your own time not mine. I feel the same way when some self entitled Hollywood type goes on a awards show and instead of thanking people who helped them get where they are at they go on some political rant. I don't care, do it on your own time, go on a talk show. Any way I am done ranting.
