This is a 73 Polara V.I.P model with the gray ,red and black interior with red body moldings. Also has special wheel covers and came in four colors with your choice of a black or white vinyl top. This car deserves to be saved. I would but already have one.

I ain't buying it, yet. I need documentation or emblems. I see nothing that calls out a Dodge VIP. Just Spring Specials.

ya gotta point.

i have no idea and just trying to help out cuz I have seen this car working on the Special Editions thread .. so just going by how the car looks, but I have NOT yet found a Chrysler period piece of literature calling it a "VIP".

That don't mean it ain't .. just I havent found it. I defer to more knowledgable folks from here on.

I have never seen any advertising print ever saying VIP special. If there were I'd own it now. As in the youtube commercial I posted it is known only as a Spring Special.

This car is in bad shape interior wise which is the biggest part of being a Spring Special. C Shag carpet is shot and I was never able to find a replacement. Fortunately I didn't need one. The fabric seat insert could be another killer to locate. He wants the same that I paid for mine and the quarters were fine and the interior great as is. I personally wouldn't touch this one at that price.

I actually talked to this guy last May. It took him a while to respond...I think he has issues with his phone service.

He told me the worse thing about the car was the roof. Said the previous owner had put some type of tar over it and when he scraped it off there were holes.

I think it's a good car. Call me weird but I like the 73. I've only seen two of them in the last six months that are relatively close to home. One I'm having title issues with because they never opened an estate for the previous owner. This one is rough but the guy says the engine and tranny is good. He had some carburetor issues but heck, the drive train alone is worth $1,500 for the 400 block and the tranny and 8 3/4 rear end. Hopefully I can drive it as is just to piss people off. It looks mean. I kind of like the "don't give a F" look. It looks carry in the rear view mirror for sure.

I called on this car some time ago. The owner was up front. The roof leaked and has for some time. There is a certain state of mind for someone to hear that and still be interested in purchasing it a a complete running vehicle.
