Can anyone tell me if part number 3695867 is a drivers door mirror for a 75 town and country please?
Thankyou Kevin

Hi Kevin, That number isn't coming up as a part number. It's probably the casting number on the bottom of the mirror. Mirrors can be tough because there are so many superseded part numbers.

Source: 1975 Passenger Car Parts Catalog

C car line model 45, 46 Left mirror:
Remote
With vent window....3796 871
Without vent window....3760 931

Manual
With or Without vent window....3760 926

If the manual mirror shows the same pn for "vent" or "no vent", then the difference in the remote control mirror could be the length of the remote control cable and its routing, longer with the vent window item.

Ahhhh!.... I've just realised I should have been more specific with my question as the issue IS more regarding the Base than the mirror itself...... And to be more specific that that the profile of the contact surface where it connects to the door, friend of mine has bought a 75 with no drivers door mirror and has spotted a mirror For sale with the fore mentioned cast number, so would that Base number be correct for a 75?.... Great input Thankyou guys!

"Bases" were not available separately. In some cases, the black plastic "gasket" the mirror sits on on the door can vary to allow the same mirror to go onto different vehicles which have a slightly different sheet metal profile (wedge).

Yes, the only difference is the length of the cable. It's actually shorter with the vent window. Without the vent, the cable goes almost all the way to the bottom of the door then back up in order for the glass to clear when it's rolled down. With vents, the cable takes the short route under the vent window to the inner panel.
