For a long time, '60s were my favorite. Then I switched to '61s. (I like the "retro" headlights, factory alternator and undercut fins.) But in reality, it's like a choice between sausage and pepperoni pizza. Congrats.

Actually, I was right with you except that my balance was slightly on the 1960 side. I almost bought a 1961 the same color as this 1960 Imperial, but when I heard Bob had a 1960 I decided to wait until I knew whether Bob was ready to turn it loose.

I love both the 1960 and 1961 models - remarkable cars! And I am sure Chrysler lost money on every one of them they sold.

Its not that easy Stan! I just stay aware of what is going on around me. I also feel that what goes around, comes around, so I try to be more than fair with anyone I ever deal with. Maybe that is part of it. At least it seems to work for me.

There is a scene where a '60 rolls up in a driveway and Tom Servo says "Look at the giant smiley car!"

Actually, I was unaware of that scene or those characters..........................I will have to see if I can find it.

I am aware of there being a virtually identical one to my car though, color and all, in the movie "Blade Runner". Anyone remember this brief scene?:

I sold my all black 1973 Monaco to the guy that bought my previous one. Virtually every option available in 1973, including the 440 and dual a/c and much more. He seems to like them. Maybe I screwed up? He is coming to pick it up and drive it home tomorrow. This one is just tough for me to see go, for sure...................

It even got the last wagon NOS fuel tank in existence:

Well, Dave, I look at it like this. When this car is done, I can let go of my other four parts cars (in fact, the one parts car that is almost rust free now, will not be needed since this one from Bob needs no rust repair, so I have already sold it to a guy that just had to have it badly). And this week I also sold my 1970 Chrysler 300 TNT convertible (red with white interior) to another guy that wanted it bad - (and I knew he would do it right) so I could focus on doing a B7 blue convertible instead that I also have. I also sold a 1970 Chrysler 300 coupe like the one on the 1970 factory brochure cover as well shown below, also to a guy that wanted it bad and will also restore it to new. I know both of the new owners will do them right and they didn't hesitate to buy them. So I am making progress, even though it doesn't seem like it at times.

Wow what timing I just looked at one of these yesterday it isn't for sale right now, it's his grandmas. I will visit it again in the spring it is all there, pwr windows and air no keys for the doors. I think that this is a really nice looking ride

Hope you end up getting it. It is missing a lot of trim, so someone has already been parting it. But I will have a lot of extra trim from my parts cars if you don't have any other source.

Steve: Thanks for posting the Pix's of the 60 for the gang! Too bad I didn't send you more pix's of my blue 60 and the white 60 coupe I sold to a guy out in Michigan last year. I'm glad it's in a good home and know it'll be a gem when you're done restoring it. I've got a few things to finish on my "Blue Bomber" and at some point I'll get photos of it. Also, thanks for helping me post photos on my '75 Lebaron and the '77 NYB coupe. Take care and thanks again!
