Just sending some pics I know everyone on here are pic and video whores just like myself It is enjoyable to view other c-bodies. I couldn't down load a vid on this page but i have one on you-tube under 1971 New Yorker. Just wondering would someone harbour an educated guess as to how many 71 New Yorker coupes were made with the consol shifter with this color combination. Gun matelic grey. So a fellow member a few months back mentioned that out of the appx 4500 coupes made in 71 10% might have been console shift cars. With that being said i am guessing (and that's
All it would be)that out of those 10%(450 coupes)roughly 5-10%(22-45 coupes) might have been made or perhaps more with that color/consol combo ..just trying to collect an accurate sencible # if there is such a thing

I am certain there are lots on hear that are..cheers. .

Beautiful car . Presume it is one of a few made and be happy you own her

Great looking car. Love console coupes. Funny how back in '71 consoles were not a popular option, everyone seemed to want that bench seat for extra seating. Fast forward to today..every car has a console and nobody even makes a bench seat car. Coupes are a rare bird and sedan sales are faltering in favor of crossovers. Who would have thunk that would happen?

That is an absolutely stunning 71 New Yorker - how does a car get better looking than that? Automotive perfection in design and in your case, example! And you wisely left off the fender skirts - which makes it truly balanced looking rather than tail heavy. Outstanding!

I have always lusted after a very similar 71 300 that was for sale a few years back, and I regret not buying it when it was available:

Rob your NY is looking sharp, I didn't see you all summer I was thinking you sold the NY already.

Realy nice looking car you got.
I love my coupe with two separate seats and a buddy seat/armrest in the center, perfect combo...

This is a sweet car. Love the color as well. The odd thing I notice is how many Hurst cars are out there with column shifts.

If Chrysler had offered a comfortable arm rest on that console (which I believe they did the first year) I'm sure they would have sold many more. They didn't really get it right until the '75 B-bodies.
