Convertible Fury - 1970

Those look like they will cleanup just fine, sandblast them and paint them.

Yeah, I will definitely rehab these. But I need the part that hooks through the rubber and connects to the exhaust.

Those are mine, they get bolted directly to the body, forward side of the square plates. The brackets you have already have the isolator in them, pretty sure the ones you need are just a metal strap the clamp attaches to. Even these the hanger is separate from the clamp.

Yes, I think you're right. Probably just a metal strap and a clamp. Probably something an exhaust shop

can easily rig up if I can't find the parts ready made.

Maybe go visit a shop that specializes in exhaust replacements, they should have a good selection of hangers to look over. Thinking back to my car there is a C shaped piece of steel strap that slides into the rubber isolator on one end. The other end is clamped to the exhaust pipe in such away that the other end is being pushed into the isolator as the pipe moves. The clamp Mopar used was screw type hose clamp (not a gear), but I've seen many using classical muffler C-clamps. Some installers use the C strap in the isolator and then weld the other end to the exhaust pipe. That could be why you have the isolator ends but not the other which is still welded to your old pipes. I prefer clamps so I can make adjustments if rattles develop later on.

If you can get your hands on a Walker or Napa exhaust catalog, you may find them in there. It will have a section with pictures of all the various hangers and accessories that are available.

I painted the letters on the tail panel tonight. It's not perfect but much better than no paint at all. The one that came on the car was painted nicely but had a big dent in it. This panel was mostly straight but needed all new paint.

My wife and son helped my put the bumper back on tonight. We didn't get in a single argument!

It's got a new tail light lens and rear insert and all the tail and brake lights are working properly now. I left an old Hermiston Bulldog sticker on it. There is an old Pay-n-Pak hydroplane sticker on one of the windows. I kind of like retaining those historical features, even though the barnyard trailer hitch had to go.

I just scored a proper dual-snorkel air cleaner and a heat stove. Does anyone have a picture of what the original graphics were on the 1970 Fury 383 dual snorkel air cleaner?
