Winter Plans For Your C Body

Legendary had the leather? Is it the same high gloss that your original has? Did you pay through the nose? Or ???
I'm going to take my 67' Imperial front seats in and have them done...
That's why I'm asking. I don't know if I should supply the leather or let the upholstery guy handle it. My 67' Imperial seats are very glossy, especially the rear where no ever sits. They are near perfect. I just need the fronts done
Thanks John
Some before pics?

Morning Kenny.. no leather. It’s the OE vinyl, same grain and pattern as my seat.. 3yrds was $216. If your guy has OR can get the OE leather your Imperial has, and you trust his judgment and work! Let him do it. If not! Well, you know the rest.. lol

He's the best around here for sure. Took me about 2 months to get my seats done in my 77 Lotus. Changed them from some crappy cloth to vinyl. They came out awesome. He does great work, but you pay for it.

Go over & start it every other week or so. Cold & road salt in the Chicago area don’t make for a satisfying drive. Thankful she’s only 5 min. away.

And YES, I would totally love to re-do my interior as well! Black instead of poo brown/beige.

Making progress!! Wiring the chokes and bending up the fuel lines are the next things....

Wow all that motor and a single pot master. You have bigger ones than me.
When I got my Polara, you had to two foot it, one foot to push down on the pedal, and the other foods to bring the pedal back up! It stopped fine as long as you remembered to bring that pedal back up, but could make for some interesting stops. Dual circuits are sooo much better.

I'm going to try and secure parts car #4, hoping to help a couple members here.

Update: The upholster sent me these pictures today, so I’m well on the way to a new front seat. This is the entire pattern from the bottom part of the seat.

The rest of the pictures are obviously the rest of the seat, his finger-pointing and the yellow tape that you see were questionable sections that he and I’ve already discussed. I initially wanted to keep as much of the original material on the seat that I could, assuming it was all in good shape. As some of you may know upholstery is very expensive repair expense so I wanted to save where I could, but I did have 3 yards of OE material that I didn’t want wasted. So short of the embossed emblem on the top center of the seat. It’s all getting redone for the most part.. can’t wait to see the finished product. (P.S) Jeff (cantflip) The Red Headrest that I got from you last year is being dyed White to match..

Gonna get a parts car! Paid for today, finalizing plans for picking it up.

A rough Polara 500 yielding one (1) correct bucket seat, dash, a complete console and linkage, steering column to match, and another complete set of window trim and body side moldings. At least one (1) good taillights lens, a remote mirror, the doors might be decent, window regulators I need badly for the rear, and countless nuts and bolts, fasteners and other trim pieces.

Apparently it's been sitting in the same spot for 15-20 years. Good thing I don't want it for the body!

Looks like Murray Park's palace of goodies...

you gonna use a forklift to get it out of the weeds?:poke:
We have a skid steer with forks, the guy I bought it from is going to see if we can use his friends tilt bed, it's got a winch and can pull it up. I have a trailer, but it's better suited for the skid steer than the car!

I wish Mr Park was that close!

you should take some pics of that one getting loaded...wonder if it's frozen to the ground right now?

I've got lawn furniture in the yard I can't budge right now...bet the axle and wheels have melded with the frozen tundra on that parts car.
