'66 Monaco hood and supports...

Ok, so on my '66 Monaco, the guy pulled the rods that hold the hood up. My question is: What is the correct way that these should be installed? Does anyone have any pics? Also, is there anything that migh go on the end of the rods in the fenders?

Glassman, I see that you aren't new, but haven't posted much until recently... you will get the hang of looking at the dates of threads before you reply... and if you're like me, you'll screw up once in a while anyhow.
