Not that I consider myself old, but ... to be young again. Great job for the right young guy, the places you can go with the skills they will teach you.

I'm too old to be a mechanic or crew chief. I'd have to see if he had an opening for team owner & ofcourse how much it paid

Rare to see help wanted ads in NASCAR teams. It's a very closed industry and word of mouth is usually all that is required to locate employees.

Daytona update on the Carl Long Motorsports team. They entered a car in the ARCA race and where in 6th place on the white flag lap & got crashed out & ended up 27th with a badly damaged race car. What was looking like a good day for the sponsors & a good purse check turned out disasterous. They brought 2 cars for the Xfinity series race. The sponsor for one of those cars has not wrote a check yet as promised. Not sure yet if that car will get to race. They are going to qualify the cup car today for a position in the twin 125 qualifying races. Carl seemed pretty confident that the car had enough speed to qualify well. Hopefully that sponsor will come through. Ironically Richard Petty Motorsports went through a similar deal late fall as sponsor Smithfield Foods balked on funding the 43 Cup car. Still not sure if RP has found a full time sponsor this season. US Air Force, Dominos Pizza & a couple others have signed on for limited funding.
