So I've been looking on Google and on here and can' find any real answer to my issues. So I've replaced all the bulbs and the brake lights and running lights work but nothing on the turn signal? Is there a switch in the engine department or under the dash or a fuse?

There is a signal flasher likely located behind the ash tray

It’s a little round tin unit
It will be held by a clip under the dash
Check that

Hopefully it’s not a turn signal assembly
Try grounding the steering column too

Round Flasher unit, in the clip it will amplify the bink-bonk, remove and just hang it in some under dash wires so that it touches no metal = PEACE ON EARTH!

I like hearing mine so i know it is working. in a convertible sometimes the sun washes the indicators out.

Has the small metal spring been removed from both sides of the rubber steering coupler in the engine bay

Ken which and what springs are you referring to. Sorry haven't been on in sometime so late reply. So when I did look under the dash I really didn't see anything jumping out at me other than tons of wires. To be honest, I has thrown my back out and was limited to how much I could bend myself lol. I'll take my cell phone and go up under there and just record what's there and try to pin point it. But if you have a photo of the "spring" and where abouts it's located that would be helpful. One more thing while we're on lighting. Even though I replaced all my low/high beams the lights at night are terrible any fixes put there?

There is a wire/spring that grounds both sides of the rubber steering damper in the engine bay . A lot of times this has been removed. if this has been removed or damaged, try grounding the upper part of the steering column (above the rubber damper ). I don't have a photo ,as mine is still covered for the winter. If i can get a photo i will send it along

Cheers
Ken

see if the rubber donut is grounded from one side of the donut to the other side, or add a jumper wire to both sides and test your blinkers. it is the number 1 circle

The turn signal switch doesn't depend on a ground to work correctly. The horn does... but not the turn signals.

It comes down to check the power going into the switch and then coming out of the switch. Refer to the FSM for the proper test points. No power in... then look at the source. No power out... the problem is in the switch. It's really that simple.

If your back is hurting (believe me I understand), take the front seat out for access to under the dash.

Ok spring is there, big John you're right I'll have to climb up under there for a better look.
