Why am i getting redirected to other sites one second im looking at a 69 newport the next im looking at steel buildings not cool

I'm not having that problem.

Clear your browing history and cookies and power down and restart your device.

Sometimes if you click on something in your conversations or alerts that is over an ad on the right side of the screen one of the ads will pop up in a tab, at least for me.

Maybe it's a hint to build a garage big enough to put that newport and your other cars in? Those pop up ads......

You probably have a browser hijacker on the web browser. Most of the time you can get rid of it by emptying the cookies and clearing the browser history. You can add the program "Privacy Badger" www.eff.org/privacybadger to the browser. This keeps adware hackers from tracking you. "Https Everywhere" www.eff.ore/https-everywhere adds encrypted tech so that your browser will always use an encrypted connection if one is available on the sites you visit. This keeps prying eyes out of your browser. Finally "Ad Block Plus" www.adblockplus.org keeps banner ads from loading. Using an aftermarket browser such as Firefox is usually a better choice than Internet Explorer.

IF you're using a laptop with the inset for the mouse that is a solid part of the housing, rather than a separate insert (as they used to be), then resting your palm on the surrounding area can move the cursor to those ads' places, without your knowledge, then another movement will "click" and they you get to those other places. I know that by experience, on two different laptops.

When a page loads, the content loads first, then the zillion ads and popups then load sequentially as each one scours your personal cookies and browsing history to target relevant ad content on the page you just loaded.
As each ad and popup loads, the page jumps around like a scalded rabbit.
If you go to click on a forum link while the page is going through its tortuous epileptic fit during loading, you'll often accidentally click on an ad.

This situation will happen on ANY page that has lots of ads on it. A regional newspaper is much worse than this forum ever has been, by comparison. Just wait a few seconds for things to stabilize. Also, make sure where your cursor is and don't automatically click where you think it might be . . . as it probably is some place else.

Just some thoughts,
