Hey folks,

I'm at the point where I need to sell this gal. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this forum and the monumental task we all have of restoring these cars. There is simply no aftermarket support so we all rely on each other which has been a true highlight of my Mopar career.

That said, I'm planning on posting the car to craigslist but wanted to offer the car to the forum first. I will offer a FCBO price of $3800 or best offer since I have received a ton of help and support from you all. The work on the car was done by me and my teenage son. I will miss this car like no other (originally an A-body guy). Link to picture album and details below.

Price 4600.

1971 Chrysler New Yorker

440 big block Mopar. This car runs great and drives even better. Brakes work fine (so does E-Brake). Transmission shifts great, no shudder, clunk, or noise.

I showed this car at a local car show a few years ago and it was used as a daily driver . The paint was hand rubbed and waxed. My son and I spent a lot of time together working on this car.

New KYB shocks (front), Gabriel shocks (rear)
Road wheels with trim rings in great shape
BF Goodrich whitewall tires. Lots of tread left
Resealed backlite and windshield
Lowered 2" (lowering blocks in rear springs)
Carter AVS Carb (Model 4966)
New rear axle seals (8.75" Axle)
Flowmaster 40 muffler (single exhaust)
Power Steering
AM Radio
Powered 6 way drivers seat
New Trans shift stud seal
New NGK plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and points
New radiator hoses
New fuel sending unit

From the fender tag:

H51: Air Conditioning with Heater
R48: Power Antenna
L31: Hood/Fender Mounted Turn Signals
H31: Rear Window Defogger
M45: Fender Skirts
P31: Power Windows
S61: Tilt/Telescopic Steering Column
B41: Front Disc Brakes w/Standard 10in RR Drum
G11: Tinted Glass (all)
V7F: Accent Stripes, Green
P45: Power Deck Lid Release
R31: Rear Seat Speaker(s)
N51: Maximum Engine Cooling

The car has some minor (mostly cosmetic) issues. I'll do my best to describe them:
Headliner above front seats is fine, the rear part is coming apart/missing. All rods are there.
Rear package tray has some cracks/breaks. Mostly there.
Cruise Control is there, but not hooked up electrically.
Emergency flasher knob is not installed. I have the part.
Rear backseat window (drivers side) doesn't roll down, backseat internal door linkage came loose and does not currently open.
Upholstery isn't in great shape. Foam is starting to powder.
Power steering chuck has minor leak at steering wheel shaft location.
Chrome trim around rear doors and grille not installed (I have all the pieces).
Needs horn internal switch in steering wheel (was not present when i bought it).
Needs external door mirror. Glass fell out.

Wow - the first C - Body I ever saw was a 70 NY’er hardtop in this same green and I’ve wanted one similar since! Do wish it had a dual exhaust tho. Is all the trim on the taillight assembly still there? I know these usually have that problem. Also - do you have any interior pictures? I’m assuming it’s a double pickle car. Cloth seats?

Yes, single exhaust. All trim on tail light assy is present. The grille trim is somewhat there but some pieces are damaged but fixable and will need the little clips replaced that hold it on.I can get some interior pix.

Help me out here....double pickle? Am I on the right forum? Heh. Its cloth paisley (Greg Brady green) for the seat inserts, and darker Mike Brady green for the rest of the seats.

Double pickle would be green interior with green paint. Triple pickle would be a green vinyl top.

That makes it triple pickle! Unless the roof is Green. Looks like Black in the photo. IMO New Yorkers "should" have single exhaust. Good luck with your sale, looks like a great car!

Here's the interior. Not sure why there is a red hue at the bottom of the pix, but the most accurate color is the armrest green.

Edit, I chose black because it was an experiment using bedliner on the top in lieu of vinyl and didn't want to pay extra for the green color in case it didn't pan out. Could easily recover with actual green vinyl if that's your style. Plus the roof won't ever rust under the vinyl.

I've go a full set of chrome for that car, I see you are missing a piece.

Thanks Bud. I actually have all the chrome for it, but the side piece clips won't hold it on secure enough. Rather just take it off than risk losing it on the hiway.

In other news, I'm going to list this on CL soon if no one wants first stab here.

I do love the color and probably would return it to its Triple pickle glory haha In the market for another Fusey but not sure if I reallyyy want a 2nd 4Door New Yorker haha

Bumping this post. I have it listed for 3200 on CL and will offer to FCBO members for $2800 or best offer. Really need to move this thing.

Somebody should buy this and trade me for my 78 sunroof car
