Snorkel from 1969 Mopar

That particular style of snorkel end looks more like 1967 than 1969, to me. 1969 air cleaners usually had a rubber hose going to one snorkel (held to the outer rh section of the air cleaner) for the interim evaporative emissions system (that put the fuel vapors inside of the crankcase for storage, until the engine was started).

As I recall, 1966 & 1967 had that flared end snorkel. 1968 had a different insert that was smoother, like an "insert" rather than just flared metal. 1969 went to the rectangular snorkel, as the 1970-71 air cleaners had.

Just some thoughts,

Didn't realize you were needing one.....
Wasn't really needing one, as I had a sweet chrome open element already on it, :D but once I figured out it was correct for the year, I figured why not. I'll get a 383 tin and throw it on. That's what this place has done to me, who'd a thunk it? I've even thought about a stock intake manifold, for a few minutes. :BangHead:

Here is my 69 air cleaner, breather hose on the side, but notable difference, the snorkels are oval not round.

Yeah, I've always thought the 67-69 cleaners had the oval snorkels and the round ones were 65/66, but I've also never seen a 65/66 with the breather hose provision.

I think it was a California only thing before 69
