Hey guys just wanted to share my latest barn find with you all. 58 Savoy 2-door hardtop, 1 owner car parked in the barn since 71. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it yet, just super excited to get it home and off the trailer to look it over real good. The lady was 19 when she bought it new, all her family was at the estate auction told me that she drove it from lanesville Indiana, (where I got the car) to the world's fair in Seattle in 62.

Nice score! Looks to be all there. A major project for sure but it has the right number of doors and the right roof line so if you clean her up and sell her I am sure that there will be lot's of interest.

Looks very good nice score keep us updated with your plans with her

Nice! I do love those cars in the less overstated trim levels.

Love those forward look cars. I hope it will be a labor of love for you - and that your welding skills are up to snuff. But in the end it will be worth it. Please do keep us updated. I have a 58 Dodge 2 door I will be working on relatively soon too.

It is really amazing that you can even actually find "barn finds" like that anymore - she bought it new at 19 and owned it all her life. What an amazing history!

It pays to keep your ears to the ground and be aware of what is going on around you! Great score. I'm excited for you.

Very nice find, especially with the hardtop body. I also owned a 2 door Savoy club sedan for 12 years. It appears that she ordered some nice options such as the bumper guards (they are like gold on the open market), dual mirrors, the back up light and the sport trim. Does it have the V-8 with the two speed power flight transmission? Is the second color white? Mine was white and for some reason it was not a durable - water resistance and the water would pass through allowing the orange red rust deposits to bled through. Let me know if you want to talk 58 Savoys.

No V Emblem on the front Fenders, should be a 6 (or they got lost).

So she bought it and parked it at just 13 years old never to be driven again....and it sat in that spot for 45 years ....:wtf: .... how does that happen?

Sport fury 67, I would love to talk 58 savoys. This is the first one ive had, ive bee lucky finding these cars, I've had a 57 belvedere, a 58 4-door hardtop belvedere, and a 58 fury. Everyone has told me the wings are the rarest option, all 4 of my cars has had them. Yes v8 push button auto, second color is white (what's left of it). Im not sure why she parked it, she passed away in 1999 and her husband just passed away a few months back, im not sure why they held on to the car it definitely didn't have much value in 71. I was at the auction for this only, one other guy was sniffing around but no one else was bidding. The dash looked odd to me when I was looking at it, then I noticed no radio.

Small world. I purchased my last car, a 78 NYer, which was ordered and owned by Walter Bales of Bales Chry/Ply in Louisville. I also have family in Jeff and in Newalbany (one word). I can't believe this car was so close for all of these year. I will upload photos of my car's interior for reference. It is probable the same black fabric with off-white vinyl with a black rubber floor covering. My was radio delete as well, but I found one and added a clock. Mine was white with a pink top.

Yeah definitely a small world. I had never heard of the car before the auction. I know where a 57 Savoy is sitting over there but can't be bought. I've got a 69 charger survivor car that was sold at the same dealership as this 58 . Bales in Jeff just got bought out so now it goes by bachman Dodge, if the metal bales emblem is gone from your car let me know I've got a couple extras laying around. My car does have a rubber floor.
